  1. In addition to Pentire's feedback, http://www.pattayatalk.com/forums/index.ph...0812&hl=del+mar
  2. I usually stay on Soi 19, however this hotel has gotten both good and bad reviews. Mostly good. I have not stayed here but the location is really good. It's right around the corner on Sukhmvit from NEP. http://www.majesticsuites.com/accomodation.html I usually stay here. It costs more, but I really like the location. If you go before I think Sept 30 or 31 it's still 1800 THB but after that it goes up to like 1950. I'll still spend 1950 on that place. Plus it's close to Thermae http://www.grottino.com/
  3. That didn't seem to work all that well http://www.hotels2thailand.com/bangkok-hot...l-,-Bangkok.asp beware the joiner fee note at the bottom This area is very slim on hotels. I only see this one and Starr Inn which is actually on 7/1 here: http://www.cityphotoguide.com/taxonomy/term/17?from=0 I suggest you stay elsewhere but up to you.
  4. This was kind of difficult to find, I went to a search engine and typed "soi 7 hotels bangkok" http://www.sukhumvit-guide.com/hotels-and-...ukhumvit-soi-7/
  5. JohnIrish, I guess you should have looked a little deeper before booking http://www.pattayatalk.com/forums/index.ph...0condotel&st=25
  6. You should call Blue Cross/Blue Shield and ask them, however I was concerned a little about coverage if the shit hit the fan up in LOS and they said I am fully covered and pay a deductible equivalent to that of the US. I just had to go to their website and print out all the participating facilities with the program. They told me I could go anywhere but it states on the website that the deductible is smaller from the facilites listed. Hopefully that helps some, if not, sorry. http://www.bluecross.com/
  7. Why don't you just e-mail him and ask him? That would take just as much time as you posting.
  8. Use him, I paid 1800 from Sukhmvit to Pattaya http://www.pattayatalk.com/forums/index.ph...pic=21018&st=50
  9. I agree about the Soi 13 hotels, I haven't stayed at the Bella but I definitely went there as my friend was staying there and it was a very nice place.
  10. The high season/low season depends on what part of los you are visiting, probably also up to the hotel some.
  11. Swiss Grottino, Sukhmvit Soi 19.
  12. Not sure, but I got this out of this same topic in early pages.
  13. Dammit, LEK never did that for me.
  14. Thanks for the pics Baz, the Majestic's is kinda small. I prefer a hotel up the street more, but it's a fair amount more like 800 THB more. So I think for the price this hotel is still a great deal all in all.
  15. Probably cause you went for a long period of time and you locked your bags. I went for 18 days and locked my bag and they searched pretty well when I arrived back home. Then this past trip for 14 days I left my bag unlocked and walked right through customs, no search's at all. I was worried about all the Cialis, Penegra, Apcialis, and Viagra I was carrying on me.
  16. Whitehouse Condotel Soi13, safe however not large enough for a laptop.
  17. I used him twice on my last trip no probs.
  18. Chatachuk is extremely hot best to go in the morning or afternoon and not around 11-2 in the peak sun. Never tried Khao San Road, no need to, plus I heard they love to rip off tourists there.
  19. I just stayed here about 1 1/2 weeks ago, tried two different rooms the standard and the suite. The hotel for 1250 for the standard was really impressive. Smoked the LEK for 50 THB less at 1200 for their new wing standard rooms. Guest policy is no charge for the first guest and 800 for any additional which kinda sucks.
  20. It's really up to you some love it some don't. It is all about location and price. I know one in a very good location as well but about 800 THB more at the moment. The only way to truly know is to just try it yourself, though I highly doubt it is a place to take your family.
  21. Hey Pete, you may want to re-direct this to the hotels section, it would probably get more attention there. whitehousecondotel, I look forward to my stay with you starting 28 May and I will probably change to a suite halfway through my stay. Do you have to state that you will not use the internet when checking in? I have read a review where this was said about your hotel.
  22. I have not stayed at the Davis though I have heard very good reviews, other than the location. Royal President, if you do go stay in the Sapphire, they are actually across the soi in a totally different building so you have more privacy. The rooms are not as nice as the pics as Cenn said. The biggest problem I had is it is a good ways down the soi. I have heard the exact same issues with Grand President, location and rooms are only ok. Hope that helps.
  23. Thanks for the picture, looks like the standard room right? Should be fine for me in a couple of weeks.
  24. Definitely the search would work well too, but there is a range as said above. It is a voltage threshold it may say something like 110 V- 220 V 60 Hz. You should not have to worry about the speed too much as the speed is only critical for electronical device which require timing like radios.
