Brian It is customary for the losing team to pay a barfine for the winning team! If you are victorious, you will have the pick of the pissed up FLB girls! Oh, and there is a trophy and a memento for the winning team plus prizes for individual achievements on the course. Doggie

Hilly We are playing at Phoenix. I have decided to book 10 tee times with 5 groups teeing off on 2 different nines. Each group will play the same 18 but in a different order. The number of entries are up around 36 now so I am hoping we will hit 40 golfers. It will be the biggest and hopefully the best RideHer Cup yet! Doggie

Got the entries guys and delighted to welcome bertie and his two mates to the competition. Would love to join you for the sexy caddies night and, as Hilly has shown her photo, I might have to bring my caddy to the party! I think she might have other ideas about where to spend the night though! And welcome back to the regular players from the last 3 years. Good to see the numbers are going up all the time. At this rate, we could be well over 40 players. Keep the entries coming. Doggie

Dungheap I will assess your handicap over a friendly challenge match before the RideHer Cup. September is looking like a distinct possibility right now. I hope to make a decision in the next week or so. if I do get there, I will arrive around 16th. My birthday is on 17th but I will delay celebrations for a day or so if you can't arrive by then. Incidentally, there was a programme on ITV last night about the dangers of elephants in Pattaya. They were concerned about elephants being spooked in the street after the death at Nong Nooch. I wonder if we should send them a few shots of ou

The 2005 RideHer Cup will take place in Pattaya and at Phoenix Country Club on 6th and 7th November 2005 For those of you who are not familiar with this world-famous golf match, here is a brief explanation. The RideHer Cup is a team event played between the USA and Europe at one of the golf courses in the Pattaya area. This will be the fourth year that the event has taken place and the score is currently 1 match apiece with one tie. The trophy was one by team Europe last year following a putt-off in the bar between the two captains. The event is open to any board member that can swing a go

Guys The more the merrier for the RideHer Cup so you are both included in the event. You are also very welcome to join any of the other golfing and non-golfing activities we will be organising in November. Please PM me with your regular email address and your shirt size. Our antipodean friends will be invited to join one or other of the teams depending on numbers. Come to think of it, maybe we have enough Kiwis and Aussies to arrange a 3 cornered international challenge on one of the golf days - Australasia vs Europe vs USA!!. Welcome aboard! Taxi I am happy to have a barfine o

Buddy I run a golf travel company and we have a local guy who can organise your transport to Laem Chabang and make your tee time bookings. Just PM me and I will send you his contact details. Doggie

Here are the current rates for Pattaya Golf Courses Pattaya Golf Rates As Hilly says, prices are much higher from November onwards and the courses get very busy. If you are planning to visit in the fall, then these rates should still be good. Please PM me if you want any contacts for golf partners. Cheers Doggie

Suprice Will you be joining us this year for the Cup? Europe needs you! Best wishes. Doghaus -
Frank Who is your friend? If he wants to join the programme, please ask him to contact me. We are making advance hotel reservations because CM will be busy at Loy Krathong. If he wants to bring a friend with him, this is no problem as long as I know when he books. Can be from FLB or anywhere he chooses. Doggie

Thanks for the feedback Kev. The plan would be for the coach to leave Pattaya on Saturday with a stop over en route including a round of golf. We would load the coach with liquid refreshment for the journey. Arrival in CM would be early Sunday evening to meet up with the flyers for pre-dinner coktails and canapes - or a belly load of beer and peanuts! Cheers Doggie

Kev I will be looking into the fares when I get to Thailand next week. It would be interesting to know how many of you are still interested in the option of a coach trip. It might be feasible to do the coach if there are a dozen or more interested parties and the rest can fly there. Can I have a new show of hands please? Doggie

Hi Bob I am delighted that you can join us. Am I right in assuming you would like to play in the Pattaya events and then go to Chiang Mai with us? You will be very welcome to play in all the events and your USA team is short on numbers right now. Thanks for the info about Nok Air. I will be comparing the cost of sending the clubs by road with the additional cost of business class. More info to follow when I get back from Thailand at the end of July. Cheers Doggie

Taxi It is a very rare event for a Scotsman to have a bet on the English. We usually take great delight in seeing them beaten! However, in the interests of international relations, I will take your bet on. A bar fine from any go-go or bar of the winner's choosing. I will now be happy whichever way the result turns out! Doggie

Steve O The improvement in their form has been quite dramatic and I am sure it is more to do with the beer than haughty English Sheilas. I assume that you will be following a similar training routine by arriving in Thailand well in advance of the RideHer Cup and indulging in drink and women. I expect that your body will have been finely tuned by running around the lower numbered Soi's whilst pursued by a Klingon Warrior Princess weilding a long knife and yelling "Devil Spawn" at the top of her voice. If the Aussies don't win the Ashes, I am afraid you will have to revert to Bang

Club hire can be expensive at the golf courses. It is better to hire a set by the week in Pattaya if you are playing more than one round. When you have decided on your dates to come to Pattaya, PM me and I can get you some prices. Doggie

Hilly I rather think that Steve O and Taxi would resent being automatically classified as USA. They are both Australians but they might have changed nationality temporarily after the cricket match against Bangladesh. It seems that they may be press-ganged to play for the USA again as our friends from the other side of the pond seem to have difficulty mustering a team! However, there are a few months to go and I am hoping that we will have some more entries from the USA. Cheers Doggie
