Hammer Hire clubs can vary from 300 to 600 per day. I have a contact in Pattaya who rents clubs for 300 per day. Just PM me with the dates you need them and I'll send you his contact details. Sinbinjack A buggy is normally 500 to 600. Some courses like Phoenix allow two people to share - others insist on one buggy per player. Doggie

The London Golf Show Some UK members may be interested in the London Golf Show. This is running from 21 to 24 April at Excel in London Docklands. There will be over 300 exhibitors and a lot of activities during the show. Thailand Golf will be exhibiting and are sponsoring one of the competitions. So, if you fancy your chances of getting a hole in one on the floating green, you could win a golfing holiday to Thailand! For details about the show, click here The London Golf Show

Great response so far. Welcome to the new entrants for this year and welcome back to veterans from previous years! Keep them coming so that I get a rough idea of numbers. It already looks like the event will be bigger than previous years - the more players, the more fun! Cheers. Doggie

Hi Bertie You will be very welcome at the 2005 event. We had 24 players last year and we can accomodate more in 2005. It is an event we run for the members of this board who enjoy a fun competition regardless of their handicap. I look forward to meeting you when you are in town in May if I am still there. Cheers Doggie

The registration evening and draw will take place at FLB on Sunday 6th November. So, get your flights booked and let's make it a big turnout this year! Watch this space for details about registering but please post a reply to this to let me know you are interested in playing in the event. Cheers Doggie

Ben That was a wonderful and touching tribute to a lovely girl.

Hi Suprice We didn't get a chance to play Phuket Country Club. We played Loch Palm. The Lakes at Blue Canyon and Mission Hills. Mission Hills Phuket is a must play when you are next there. I am going back in early May to play Phuket Country Club and Mission Hills again. I would like to try Koh Samui sometime as well. We might be organising a trip to play some of the courses in Chiang Mai after the RideHer Cup in November. Please let me know if you are interested. Good to hear from you. Doggie

VERY SAD NEWS - Om (cashier) Died Today
doghaus replied to carlsberg's topic in General Discussion about Pattaya
What a tragic loss of a wonderful person. She was a friend to everyone in the bar. May she rest in peace and my condolences to all her friends and family. Doggie -
Dungheap Air India operate the same policy as the Indian Railway. They are always overbooked so you have to hang on to the side of the aeroplane for the whole trip! Might blow the bark off your tree! Doggie

The mind boggles about how your boy lost a phone in the Eden Club. Was it slobbered in KY at the time? I'll call you when I get to Pattaya. Cheers Doggie
-
Hilly I would like to take priority on this. After all, I provided the means of communication! However, your boy might have already jumped the queue! Golf plans - I am waiting to hear from the BKK pro about venues for my video shoot. Once I know his plans, we can fit playing around that date. I will get in touch next week. Cheers Doggie

Not had the luxury of a close examination yet. It might be on my "to do" list for my next trip but I am concerned that she would be difficult to shake off. I assume you have done the deed. Report?

Same same Wobbly! I remember my last round when I hit a cracking drive into the sun at the 9th on Ocean. Turned round to Bee to ask where the ball had gone and she was busy looking in her mirror and checking the lipstick with her back to the sun. "Mackie - bunker 50/50" Thanks for nothing Bee. You have other talents! "Me and baby move in with you for nit noy money. OK?" Think I'll pass on that Bee! Doggie

The very same Wobbly!! She is my regular Phoenix caddy. Please share your war stories! Doggie
-
Hilly Methinks young Bee is starting to lose her marbles. She was acting a bit strange the last time I played at Phoenix! Make sure your boy sleeps with his nuts firmly protected after he has shagged her! I am coming to Pattaya on 7th March with a customer. Pete has kindly agreed to do some filming about golf in Thailand. We will be playing on 8th, 9th and 11th so I hope you can join us for some or all of these rounds. The plan is to go onto Phuket on 13th and we have Blue Canyon and Phuket Country Club willing to have us film there. I return to UK on 17th March. Let me know if you fan

Depends on the course and whether it is a weekday or weekend. The better courses are around 1200 bht green fee plus 200 to 250 for a caddy. Laem Chabang costs more and some courses cost less. Green fees drop after the end of April when it is low season and there are some deals around like 2 for 1 and sports days. When are you planning to play? Doggie

Hi Hub Touche! You seem to refer to the incident when I organised the tour to Kanchanaburi with a strict no partners rule. And guess who decided to turn up with a TG in tow! I still chuckle at the sight of Big Kev and Fornicator in the back of the bus with that tiny TG sandwiched between them. Great trip! The only problem we now have is that I already have requests from at least 2 TG's to accompany the gang on the next golf road trip! Su and Sai from Kittens have already booked their seats on the bus! I am hoping to get a trip to Chiang Mai on the November agenda if enough guys are

Thanks for all the references guys! I haven't heard from Mister C. I guess all those warnings about the potential damage to his liver and the high risk of seeing my bare arse on the ladies tee have scared him off. Maybe he has taken GP2002's advice and got eaten by a tiger instead! Ignore Dungheap's comments, all the damage was self-inflicted and this behaviour is not compulsory! Hub is right, we do get some good deals from hotels - especially in low season. Hub fails to mention that he got the best deal of all - he forgot to pay his bill when he checked out! We paid it for him - a

Mister C I have sent you an email with information about my company - Solar Golf Solar Golf Website. We can organise golf packages for you in Thailand. If you want some references, I am sure some of the guys who have played in the RideHer Cup or on other golf days I have organised will be pleased to give you their unbiased comments. Doghaus

Sorry to hear that you are going back home. I will be around for a beer on 21st and 22nd if you are still in town. Usually call into FLB early doors. Best of luck in the competition. Doggie -
If any of the golfing board members are in town week commencing 24th January, I will be there and would like to play a few rounds. I have already been in touch with Taxi and Softrabbit who are up for a round or two and so is another mate of mine. Hilly is also interested in joining us in the early part of the week. There is an ugly rumour that Dungheap may be tempted over from Tokyo as well. I have booked Sriracha for 24th and I am proposing to play Phoenix and Eastern Star or Khao Kheow during the week. I usually play alternate days so my plan would be Monday, Wednesday and Friday. We

Brian I am planning to be in Pattaya from 22nd January for one week. I will be pleased to join you for a few rounds of golf if you are interested. Softrabbit from Finland may be in town as well and there are usually a few other guys that I hook up with. We could either tag another group or 2 on to the Sugar Shack/Haven crowd or I am happy to fix up bookings and transport with the courses direct. Just PM me and I will send you my Thai mobile number. You can also email me via our Website Look forward to hearing from you. Doggie
