  1. The rooms there are very nice. Only drawback is no pool for daytime relaxation.
  2. Leaving Soi 11 at noon. Anyone want to share?
  3. Anyone stay here since they remodeled Weekender?
  4. On Soi 13. How do rooms compare to Sandy Spring or Dynasty Inn?
  5. It truly is high season.. Regular rooms are booked up next week but I can get a suite for 1990. Is it worth the extra cost?

  7. Sandy Spring is my favorite but getting harder to het regular rooms there (nothing available this weekend). My second choice is Sunshine Vista on Soi 3. Good location, in room safe good service etc
  8. Awful, terrible, horrible... any other questions?
  9. Room available at Sandy Spring and Dynasty Inn.. Both are charging 1,200 now...
  10. Are the old wing rooms there (Soi 7) bearable. The new wing is all full up for this weekend.
  11. Anyone ever stay there? I am planning a "family" trip for my girl's daughter's birthday weekend and they have two bedroom suites there that seem pretty nice. She loves Pattaya Park but they are full so we will just go there during the day. Any good??
  12. The internet speed is now very slow as it is gone! Been replaced by a foot massage place. I guess they figured too many internet shops but not enough massage places. Actually it's bad news as there is really only one other internet shop in the immediate surrounding (soi 2 Sunnys) but it doesnt open until 10 and often closes early... I know it's minor stuff but just pointing out the changes.
  13. I have heard nothing but great things about SVA. Nice rooms, clean, very friendly staff, and decent rates if you book through asia travel r24 link (7 days for 6). You can get a studio apartment that way for 1,200 a night all inclusive. Great location unless you have to be near the south pattaya action. I personally prefer north end and let's face it, during low season it takes about 7 minutes to get from one end to the other for 5 or 10 baht...
  14. Surely we must have a special get-together! I arrive on July 1 so who is interested in a Fireworks Prowl or Party!
  15. Check out Sunshine Vista Apartments on Soi 3. For the same price you can get a nice studio and the location is great unless you feel you have to be in the middle of the madness.
  16. Joop I know the 6100 is a triband. Did you buy iy here in California or in LOS?
  17. It will take you about 24 hours for the Soi 2 girls to spot you and have you marked for the duration! Of course you could walk down Soi 3, cut through the Welcom Inn and back to the Sabai Inn. Or you could wear a disguise, or you could say the hell with it and proudly walk down Soi 2. I am moving to the Sunshine Vista because they have studio apartments with balconies and with the 7 for 6 special it works out to 1,200 with breakfast!
  18. Go with Sabai. I stayed at Flipper for 10 years but since they tore down some old bars across the way there is live music blasting out until 3 a.m. Of course if you don't want to sleep before then it's still a good buy. I have become a fan of the Soi 2 area. This time I am staying at Sunshine Vista on Soi 3
  19. Anyone want to share a taxi/limo? I arrive at 11:15 a.m. and I will have three big pieces luggage. I will pay the difference in cost if we need to get a limo with more room!
  20. The Deluxe B rooms are the ones overlooking the pool. Deluxe A overlook the garden. If the in-room safe is not crucial to you, I prefer Sabai Inn across the street.
  21. I want to hook up my laptop to internet from my room. Does anyone know if Sabai Inn charges a flat rate for local call or do they do that crappy "per minute" charge?
  22. Besides RG, who else offers internet (data ports). I cannot get a straight answer from Sabai Inn.
  23. How do you find rates and make reservations for Sandy Springs Hotel??
  24. If you can give up the microwave, or by one for a measly 3,500 baht at Big C up the street, I have three recommendations for your other requirements: 1. Sabai Inn 2. Sabai Inn 3. Sabai Inn Any of those will do you nicely!
  25. Tell me about the Pinewood. I was going to stay there a few weeks but I didnt like the way the entry was tucked back so far at night etc.. I never did get to see the rooms but right now my favorite place is Sabai Inn. I gave up on Flipper Lodge after 10 years of staying there because with all the new live music bars across the street the noise is just atrocious!
