Here's a changeup--I shall try to add some constructive information. Pros: - Like the design. It's modern. - Love the dark background and white font. It's SO much easier on the eyes. Cons: - I personally don't like tiered forums. I understand why it's done and it can be a useful control, but I don't like how it divides a community. - The content is still light, but that's to be expected for a new site. Good luck with it all.

The deposit depends on the length of your stay. If you pay by credit card, you still have to pay the deposit.

Why would you want to stay with another girl at a hotel on Soi 6? That's just asking for trouble.

Any particular reason you're staying there? Last I checked they were still charging a high price for a somewhat run down hotel. There are nicer places for much less up on the hill. Closer to the action there are places for less as well.

Do they have a web site for online booking? A quick search only showed third-party travel-agents.

The contruction wasn't a problem for most of my 30 days in August, although a new project just started while I was there and the real noise had not started yet. The only problem was the shanty town right below the hotel (made for the migrant workers). There were a few days of tear down when it was super noisy.

Has it really gone up that much? I haven't been there this year, but last year I was paying 600/700.

Does your camera have a macro mode? It would make your menu shots come out more clearly.

I spent most of August at PBR and wrote an ongoing report (search for it!). I had to pay up front for my one-month stay. I'm not sure about the daily rates, but the long-stay rates were somewhat competitive. I've also stayed at the Dynasty Inn. PBR beats the crap out of it on every level.
