  1. I used Visa travellers cheques on my last vist, there are some exchanges that dont accept them, but dont worry, plenty more to chose from. There is a charge for cashing them...35-40B per cheque,so bring largest denominations. To counteract this charge you get a slightly better exchange rate.

  4. OMG all that messing around to save a few Baht. Just phone MR. T based opposite Areca Lodge, pick u up at BKK with nice name sign.Cost 850 B plus tolls if u want the quick route.Drop u at hotel of ur choice, simple. The End.........
  5. 12000B per mnth might be just a little on the low side. You were originally looking to rent condo,so if you take into account charges for electricity and water, also the hassle and cost of bedding laundry ect.J&P with all of these included is a good deal at say....14000-15000B. Another thing in its favour(for you) it is less than 2 mins walk from Tonys Gym,so no hassle travelling to and from, and its closer to all the action
  6. yes i agree most hotels will arrange for u,i paid 1500B.there is however another alternative,a friend recommended MR T,for my return to BKK,850B plus tolls, car wasnt the best but was reliable with friendly driver. he is based opp. Areca lodge hotel.ask for contact details if interested.

  8. hi again, the rooms at J&P are a lil basic probably around 28 sq mtrs, with a large double bed, fitted wardrobe as u enter the room then fridge and a unit that houses the tv and finally a table and 2 chairs, all rooms above ground floor have balconies.all rooms r cleaned daily also fresh bedding and towels and complimentary bottled water. the hotel staff r very friendly and helpful, security is good, guests r required to leave their ids at reception unless u make it known the girl is ok and u get a polite phone call to check everything is ok before the girl gets it back. here r 2 l

  10. Im with u Marley, Hopefully by late 2006 ill be living in Patters, also agree that £1000 a month is more than enough its my budget but dont expect to spend it all.Sure enough if ur in holiday mode its a lil different, but u cant live in that mode 7 days a week 52 wks a year. So maybe il
