Displayed prices are for multiple nights. Check the site for price per night. I see hostels starting at 200b/day and hotels from 500b/day on agoda.

Is this a good deal?
pattysteve replied to screamingreels's topic in Hotel and Accommodation Questions
Hi, On the face of it,sounds a good deal.Things to consider are will u be room sharing, and is the hotel guest friendly,if the answer is yes to the first and no to the second, then id say no its not a good deal. -
Hmmmmmmmmmmm i guess thats where we say ....enough said huh

Hi, dont worry about noise, just get a room on the side of the hotel you can ask for a room starting with a B.Would also advise not to get room on 1st floor(ground floor there). No balcony.

Hey old bud, You finally cracked it,JP is far and away the best of the budget hotels. I stayed there for 3 mnths May thro. July. The daily rate for a standard room was 600B,tho i payed for the whole 3 mnths and got a price of 15000B a mnth. I honestly cant fault the place, clean, friendly security good.Pool isnt the largest but more than adequate.TV is the standard Sophon cable channels which u get in virtually all budget hotels. http://www.rongraem-pattaya.com/jpcourt/ Thats the website, although i must admit they havent made the most from the pix,its much better than some o

Example of a quiet day. bought small chicken,a club sandwich,4 small cakes, had a curry for lunch with samosa starter.Went out at nite 4 beers bought 2 ladydrinks.Sundries 20 cigs,3 baht bus trips and over a pound in tips.Total spend for the day 500B OMFG.

Hi Ben, Forget the staying home doing overtime, being in patters with 2500B a day is still a whole lot better. I spent much less than that, but wasnt in holiday mode. As far as getting ripped, make sure your BG always leaves her id at reception.
-
Hi Ben, If you stay in holiday mode for the whole time 2500B is a little on the tight side. Say for instance BG a day including bar fine and a breakfast 1500B.Leaves you 1000B for your own food and booze. Can be ok but not enough for crazy nights in GoGo's. Definately dont ring any bells Steve

Yea the tues/fri. market is indeed well past central.i guess it has to be,seeing as Soi Buakao only starts there. The market is at the opposite end, almost at the juncton of Soi Buakao and Sth Pattaya Rd. Happy shopping

Looking for resonably priced appartment
pattysteve replied to sean28's topic in Hotel and Accommodation Questions
I would say a decent monthly discount would be around 10-15%.Look thro. some of the hotel websites quite a few give a price for mnthly stay. I stayed in good budget hotel price was 600B per night,i got a price of 16500B for a mnth and booked for 3 mnths at 15000B per mnth. If you look in the review section its rated well over 9 out of 10. http://www.rongraem-pattaya.com/jpcourt/ -
Looking for resonably priced appartment
pattysteve replied to sean28's topic in Hotel and Accommodation Questions
Im with you on that, hotel would be a much better choice. The main reason being the majority of condos are in the jomtien area,ok i guess if you are a long termer. For 30 days central hotel is the one. If you decide on booking a condo from an agency, please haggle hard as they crank up the price. -

Getting from Lek to Buffalo Bar on 3rd road
pattysteve replied to olyboy's topic in General Discussion about Pattaya
not on the normal Bahtbus route, walk or moto taxi.id say less than 10 mins. -
I used Visa travellers cheques on my last vist, there are some exchanges that dont accept them, but dont worry, plenty more to chose from. There is a charge for cashing them...35-40B per cheque,so bring largest denominations. To counteract this charge you get a slightly better exchange rate.
