  6. The term 'bankruptcy' is misleading. It looks like the intention is to enter in to a period of 'rehabilitation' - a process similar to 'administration' i.n the UK or 'Chapter 11 Bankruptcy' in the USA. The rules for this type of procedure fall under the insolvency laws, hence why the term bankruptcy is often used . The term doesn't mean the company has gone bust, 'administration' (or 'rehabilitation' or 'Chapter 11') is legal process that grants a company temporary protection from its creditors when it finds itself in financial difficulty to allow the company time to reorganise itself in

With effect from tomorrow until 19th April Emirates will commence passenger flights to London Heathrow 4 x weekly 777-300ER The flights from tomorrow until 19th April are only for outbound UAE passengers and cargo.   17. Some reality considering the present situation the Airlines find themselves / No income yet millions paid in aircraft leasing fees for example. Any normal business would try to keep payments and avoid any refunds just to stay Solvent.
  18. Etihad Airways said on Monday it will temporarily suspend all flights to, from, and via Abu Dhabi from the end of Wednesday. The decision follows an earlier announcement from the National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Authority, and the General Civil Aviation Authority to suspend all inbound, outbound, and transit passenger flights in the UAE. This suspension has been made to limit the spread of the Covid-19 coronavirus and to protect citizens, residents, and international travellers, Etihad said in a statement.
  19. Mixed messages coming from UAE at the moment. My understanding is that flights to the UK from Dubai will continue beyond 25th March. But for how long ?
  20. Emirates have announced TOTAL CLOSURE OF THEIR WORLDWIDE NETWORK with effect from 25th March.
  21. Emirates’ flights to London Heathrow will be reduced to two flights a day, while Glasgow, Manchester and Birmingham will be served with one flight a day from 25 March to 30 June, 2020. These destinations will all be served by Boeing 777s. The airline will also temporarily suspend its fights to Newcastle, London Stansted, London Gatwick and Edinburgh over the same period.

  23. My initial observation would be a transit visa not required if you stay in Delhi Airport with an onward flight booking Virgin Atlantic would have a code share with an Indian Carrier ?
