February is good for me , i have been in Pattaya during voting and didn't like it. Now, as long as they don't do anything stupid at Suvarnabhumi this weekend then i am good to go -
I use Lloyds Bank, to get Sterling (pound) T/c's without commission you have to order them online or by phone and either way they say that you cannot specify the denomination of the cheques.. If you order in branch then you get hit with a 1 1/2% charge. Last Xmas i ordered £2500 of cheques and i got 8 x 200 pound cheques, 4 x 100 and all the rest was crap 50's and 10 pounds which i brought back and handed them back to Lloyds to credit back to my account.

I am booked in there next month, from the 19th December i have a confirmation at 1450 baht per night but i notice the price increase to 1500 baht per night and from the 21st ( i think ) it goes up by 350 baht per night as a christmas surcharge, so we will see what they charge. This will be my 3rd xmas/new year in a row at the Residence garden and i enjoy the place. I arrive Pattaya on the 15th and have 4 days in the Centara Pattaya hotel just for a change.

I flew Emirates 1st class in 2009 for my Xmas trip, 2 legs in the A380 and 1 leg on the 777-300ER all with suites and very comfortable. Cost me £2580 which was not much more than i normally paid for business class in the peak Xmas period.

That looks great and thanks for that Evil, Breakfast would be fine but no way on the black pudding. Cheers
