  1. looks good and a fair price
  2. i guess that the chances of a board member being on your plane and reading your post is quite small, others on other planes arriving the same day may not want to wait for you to share a 1200 baht taxi and prefer to get straight down to the action with no delay.
  3. queen vic looks reasonable, cheap as hell, but as you say too close maybe http://www.queenvicpattaya.com/Rooms.htm its really down to you and your attitude to noise/nightlife but soi 6 shouldn't be too bad at night i guess.
  4. never stayed there but heard bad reports
  5. i have the lk metropole for xmas and thats good for me and its in your price range but another option which is guest friendly and looks great is the tims boutique http://www.scandibar.com/hotel/tim-boutique/ for your money you can get a deluxe with jacuzzi bath(3100 baht including breakfast for 2) http://www.hotels2thailand.com/pattaya-hot...tel-pattaya.asp http://www.timboutiquehotel.com/room_types/deluxe.html Its in the middle on 2nd road but baht bus is easy and close to mikes mall and stuff
  6. 15. great pics and looks like a great birthday party, cheers hammer
  16. for me, i book a taxi with mr toom, 1200 baht and get there in 90 minutes or so(depending on time of day)
  17. i was going to mention, what with the american/un embargo on spare parts etc to iran, i wouldnt risk flying with them, i also would not fancy being on the ground in teheran if the americans start the war, it could be a very long stopover
  18. for the busy christmas period i dont think they will drop, i booked my thai air business class trip from london for 1900 pounds (booked in march) and now for the same flight they want 5378 pounds (today), they are taking the piss. 700 pounds is around the average at the moment in economy and that is pretty reasonable i think
  19. if he had email like mr toom then i am sure more people would use him
  20. When i go to thailand i take 3 - 400 pounds in uk sterling with me, change 200 at the airport on arrival in bangkok and then draw the rest using the atm's around the area(there are plenty and full of easy to use english information) If you prefer to join and see the full information on this board, look here http://www.pattayatalk.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=5880 there is much more to see as a full member
