Hello,

 

Having spent many years (more than ten now!) visiting Pattaya, I am in the unfortunate position of having to find different accomodation because the Sabai Lodge has gotten so goddamn expensive nowadays!

 

I have looked at the Sunbeam and the Dynasty Inn and resort but am familiar with neither.

 

Any help with these would be much appreciated.

 

I would like to know the following

 

1. Quality of room.

2. Quality of staff.

3. Guest friendly or not.

4. Swimming pool info.

5. Noise levels at night (after 2.00am)

Just stayed at the Dynasty in October.

 

Room was very good. Bed was not rock hard like many hotels. Air-con worked great. Bathroom was fine and water was hot. TV ok but only about 10 channels.

2 bottles of free water everyday which is nice.

 

Staff was helpful and friendly.

 

Yes it is guest friendly.

 

Swimming pool is on the roof and is small. More like a large hot tub. Did not seem to be used much at all when I was there.

 

I didn't notice any loud noises at night on the 7th floor where I stayed.

 

Be warned however, there is construction going on right next to it. If you are a late sleeper, that may bother you. When I was there that noise was minimal, but that may not be the case now.

Stayed at the dynasty NOV 29, 30 and the sandy springs hotel DEC 4,5 next door to it. The sandy springs was 50 baht more. There is little comparison. Sandy is a much nicer hotel, better rooms, better staff, better lobby, better parking etc etc.
