Monthly Rate at Hotels in Pattaya

Recommended Posts

Hello Everyone

I am planning to stay one month in Pattaya possibly in March and have decided to stay at a hotel rather then a condo. I am looking to stay at a standard room at possibly either Dynasty Inn, Flipper House, Lek Hotel or Areca. I know that some hotels offer discounts for monthly stays and was wondering if anyone has stayed a month at either of these hotels and how much did you pay?

Do you book directly with the hotel to obtain the monthly rate?....Are u able to negotiate on monthly rates at hotels in Pattaya or is it a set rate at most hotels?

I have searched this forum for answers regarding monthly rates but couldn't find info that I needed. Any information would be appreciated as I'm bit confused at the moment..... :P

Thanx in advance everyone

What you want to do is check into the Lek hotel, for example. Then the next day, go to the hotels you want to stay at, then haggle with the manager. In person, get the quote and leave. Usually they want you to throw down a certain amount of baht to back up what you say. If its not too busy, just show up and get a room, high season (Nov 1 to Feb 15) you need to make reservations.

I stay at the baybreeze and my discount is usually quite good, on a long stay. I ran into high season on the last time, and they gave me low season prices for 2 months of staying there. Low season there is 500bt and high season is 600bt, so I paid 500bt a day for 2 months.

Some hotels offer stay for 14 and pay for 10. Sunshine on soi 8 and the Flippers offer this during low season.

Some hotels you negotiate and others have published rates. The ones that don't have published rates will depend on how busy they are. I stayed at the Holiday Mansion from mid November to mid December and their published rate was 12,000 per month on their top rooms which have a daily rate of 1200. You also pay for water and electricity on top ( it cost me an extra 1000 for both) and you only get maid service free once a week (100 baht for each additional cleaning).

Dynasty actually have a "half secret" monthly rate. Never announced and not available through agents like scandibar. Don't remember the rate. Just try to e-mail them. downtown@dynastyinn.com

Hello

Thanx for the replies to my questions as the information has been most valueable. I have emailed the hotels and awaiting replies from them on what price they offer for a monthly stay. If they don't offer a huge disc then I will book 1-2 nights then once in Pattaya shop around.

Thanx once again for the replies, most appreciated and can't wait to enjoy my vacation in Pattaya :banghead

on the place that I have seen advertise monthly rates. The price usually seems to be 10 to 15 times the nightly rate. Payable in advance. But my experience with monthly hotels has always been with hotel that charge between 600 and 1500 baht a night. I don't know if place like the Marriot or Hard Rock charge monthly rates. :D :D
