Hi has anyone stayed here and if so can you tell me what the huts were like? Also is it central or too far away? Would welcome recommendations for other places - keen to stay in a hut rather than hotel.

Thanks

Their own website is quite good (if a bit amatuerish) and has their e-mail addy to enquire about lower rates than those published. I'll definitely have a look at it on my next trip.

Chaba Hut Resort

Another place worth considering in the same area is the LK Metropole ......

This place is relatively new (about 2 years) and is set back a little off of Soi Buakaow. There is now a small soi from if front of this location that will take you over to 2nd Rd. Besides the place that Tom mentioned there are at least another dozen small hotels in that area.

Just a small protest - Soi Buakaow isn't quiet, 2 days a week the market makes it far from quiet.

Agreed, but you forgot to mention the number of cheap-charlie bars making this road one of the busiest in Pattaya, apart from Walking Street.

thanx guys

the Huts look great!!!

i know off the path, but that style works for me

for me, once i slut around for a few days and find "her"

if i stay in town, the experiance is different than if we go to

samui .... the full gfe deal

it is the "get her out of the bar deal"

if we are walking around beach rd, walking st, hitting kiss, etc, just like she has done with many falang, we become one of the many

one of my favs, (of course a looker) acts TOTALLY different in samui

with this place ( the hut) i am pretty sure we can hang in a tropical setting and relax ( hey, i live in california and work TOO many hours )

close to the action if i wanna be, but removed from the chaos

i usually stay at the marriot, which is close and on property secluded

but at @ $100 usd per nite or more, it cuts into the Tilac budget

again,

thanx for the gem

will post my findings

  • 5 weeks later...

Just finished my stay there yesterday., which I had exteneded from 4 to 7 days.

The ChabaHut Resort is alovely place, an osasis, relatively calm in a landscaped garden with nice pool. I stayed in a hut (2000/night incl. 3 ABF), living room with TV, freezer and aircon and open air bathroom downstairs, sleeping quarters with TV, another freege and aircon upstairs.

Smaller/different rooms start at 800 Baht/night.

NO Problem with bringing tg/guests, saw quite some other guests with tg at pool.

NO problem with anything, FRIENDLY service.

Very nice pool with a bar for the thirsty moments.

Good, small restaurant and room service on premises, ATM next door, 7-11 and so on in front.

Will definitely go there again. They organized a private car back to BKK last night for 1200 after a late check out at 7 pm.

:nod

After a great week in PTY back at my desk already. Will post short TR and pics.

Many of everything as all over PTY.

I usually picked up in Walking st bars.

Whar is a SKINT farang?

A poor westerner surviving in LOS with little money. The kind of person Thi Prime Minister wants to get rid of.
