UK - LOS Airfares Late July / August

I can see a window of opportunity opening for me to make a trip late July or early August. However prices Manchester > Bangkok seem very high (Around £700).

Are they likely to come down a bit as we approach the period ?

Anyone got any ideas ?

In the States the fares also go up during the summer as many of the Asian students and Asian families will travel home for their holiday. Are you planning to do the Pattaya marathon again this year?

You can still get Emirates for 584 quid incl tax for that period providing you travel midweek (Mon-Thu). The fare is available through www.flights4less.co.uk and www.lastminute.com (same same company).

 

Emirates occasionally replace the A330 on the evening flight with a high-density 777 which frees up extra seats at short notice but is not something I would rely on.

p.s. There is weekday and weekend availabilty from Birmingham for around 50 quid less if you can handle the possibility of a long layover in Dubai.

Emil - No the marathon is out this year - I'm still receovering from last year's half marathon !!!. I've put on a few pounds since then. Just a gentle job up and down Beach Road is the most I will manage (I wonder if the promenade is still full of holes)

I Just got LGW to BKK for £459 incl of tax leaving on 26 Aug returning 19 Sep. Eritair the national carrier of UAE. very small stops in Dubai. No worries

I have been looking to bokk for July. Price are through the roof. I have been quoted as high as $4600 for coach. BUTTT price for august are low plenty of $750 -900 fares around.

The airline is called Etihad and stops in Abu Dhabi and not Dubai. That aside, they are, by all accounts, a decent outfit and if you have got a price and the dates that suit you then, as you say, no worries! Have a good trip.
