Ive stayed at the SN Apartments in 3rd rd a few times now and will be staying there long term shortly so thought it appropriate to review it for those here.

Firstly i am seasoned in Pattaya and have stayed at many spots.

I found the SN through my Thai GF and have never looked back.

The rooms are either single or double, large beds, cable TV, phone, balcony, fridge, AC , couch and coffee table.

Very comfrotable beds, especially with my bad back..

The AC is quiet and controllable

The TV is full sophon and FTA.

They also have ADSL Internet on Wireless available

Costs

Deposit is 5000 bht

Monthly 7500 bht

They are clean, neat, very friendly staff, Great 24x7 security.

AND THEY ARE GUEST FRIENDLY!!!!

Close to H2O bar and Outrigger.

Out of 10 i give em a 9

The only thing i didnt like was a lack of parking for cars, but bikes are no worries

try em i think you will like the experience.

contact them at sn_apartment@hotmail.com

regards to all

hey looks good, i was just about to book Sunshine Vista for 21 nights in August but now you have got me thinking!

How easy is is it to get to central PTY, i mean soi 7 & 8 and sure i would like to see a few shots of the inside too!

Thanks for the "heads up"!

unfortunatly the only shots of the inside have my g/f in "compromising" positions, so i wont post em.

When i get back o the 13 july ill post some internals.

Suffice it to say the rooms are large, clean, quiet and best of all reasonable rate. Easy to get to, and easy to get around.

7-11 4 doors away which has grog , phone cards lotsa good tucker.

H2O bar 2 doors away has a good band and cheap drinks every night

the BBQ restaurant next door has an all you can eat for 120bht which is sensational value.

The place is imho one of the "unknown treasures" of Pattaya.

As you come in from north rd turn left at 3rd rd.

its on the left hand side about 500 metres down you cant miss it.

the pics will give you an idea what to look for.

Sunee is the manageress, very helpful, they do have security boxes at reception but NOT in the rooms. Oh and the showers are the open thai style with seperate hot & cold outlets, great system. Western style toilet as well of course.

TV was top quality also mine was/is a stereo model and they all have full sophon cable.

THEY DONT HAVE A RESTAURANT

They do sell coke, fanta, water etc at much reduced rates from memory it was about 60% of 7-11 prices.

Hope to see you there

Frank,

Also sounds interesting to me. Going PTY again in couple of months so look forward to some room shots. Thanks in advance.

BTW, you say TV is full sophon and FTA - WTF is FTA? 1luv

Cheers

Mark,

Cut back on the beer consumption in AC. If the owners agree, you can buy a safe between 1500 and 2500 and have them install it.

Oh elevator mate

as well as stairs

And the security boys are only too happy to carry ya bags :)

Which leads me to say that the security there is A1, never a moments bother.

Theres about 10 cafes close by also if your into local cuisine. As i said i dont have any internals but im back there in 2 weeks and will post a series of the rooms. The best thing is if you are a worker like me the Wi-Fi connection is absolutely fantastic. 2Mbit connection with 54Mb from the wi-fi. NO BLOCKING EITHER. The guy that runs the net connections is the son of the owner and has a net cafe on the ground floor as well, which has the most delightful TG's workin in it and serves A1 coffee as well.

shit they should give me a bloody commission LOL

Thank you Franko very interesting, the only thing is I like clean bed linen daily as well as room cleaned but I suppose a person could come to some arrangement there. Travel is no problem as I hire a scooter when I'm in town.

Mike,

The places that I've stayed in Pattaya on the monthly rate gave me 1 free cleaning a week. Each additional cleaning they charged 100 baht. A good deal if you have a steady TG as you don't need to change the bedding every day and she can keep the place clean. Even if your a big butterfly, the additional 600 baht a week is still a good deal.

This sounds like another BigD Sky Top pimping session to me , shit location , miles from proper action on a busy main road is not my idea of somewhere good to stay.

aussie_franko,

Helpful report. What a great monthly rate. I'm still just a tourist, but plan an eventual shift to LOS. It's good to keep abreast of apartment prices.

Well 48 posts from you and all of a sudden you start pimping a place so what does that say ?

If a newbie reads your recommendation and thinks it might be a nice place to stay then it is my duty to clue him up, please deny then that 3rd Road is miles from any decent action and is on a busy main (read noisy) road then ?

Why are you so defensive anyone would think you had a commercial interest in this place :clap1 :clap1 :bow

If a newbie booked a hotel without ckecking a map to see it',s location or ask further questions about transportation, then they are qoing to need you around 24/7 on their holiday to keep them out of trouble. :beer

The attractive rates for these places usually only apply for a monthly rate, their daily rates are not that hot. The last two place that I stayed in Pattaya were 12,000 monthly (1200 daily) and 7,500 monthly (700 daily). I would recommend both these places if you were staying for close to a month but not if your holiday was 2 weeks.

Regarding transportation, I'm staying east of 3rd Rd yet just a short walk to the baht bus route on Pattaya Klang. Actually my walking distance from my room to where I get on and off the baht bus is less than when I stayed at a hotel up on Soi 4. I do spend an additional 5 miniutes getting to Walking St, but I have more time than money on my trips. :chogdee2
