Looks like my November trip will be Pattaya for a week, then off to Phuket for a week.

Is it better to book my Phuket tickets after I get to LOS? Expedia is showing Thai air flights for about 5800 baht. Two of my idiot friends are bringing the t/g's. This might be a silly question, but can they get their tickets cheaper?

Thanks,

Sailfast

Hi

I flew with Bangkok Airways in Feb. Can't remember price but it was cheaper than Thai. I booked it online but I believe you need the names of travellers which might be difficult with T/G. Luckily I knew right name of my T/G. The planes were very new and very nice, and it was a very pleasant landing over Phuket beaches. If you book ahead you get more options timewise and pricewise. I think you can book online up to 4 hours before departure.

Sailfast,

Just a thought.

I’m on a similar itinerary in October. After 10 days in Pattaya I’m flying Bangkok Air from Pattaya U-Tapao Airport to Phuket. Cost: 2100 baht. 4 days later I’m booked on Nok Air in their equivalent of business class (Nok Plus I think) from Phuket to Bangkok. Cost: 1985 baht (I think economy was about 500 baht cheaper).

I booked this itinerary because it is saving me from a 2 hour taxi trip from Pattaya to Bangkok @ about 800 – 900 baht.

I booked on line at their web pages a couple of weeks ago so I don’t know if the fares have increased or not.

Nok Air: https://www.nokair.com/

Cheers :clap2

This sounds like just the plan I need.

Someone else just mentioned U-tapao airport in a private message. I had never heard of this airport before. I will check it out.

Thanks everyone for their input!
