Custom made shoes in Pattaya?

Hi there!

 

I am travelling to Pattya in Feb 2006 and was looking for some good places to get shoes/heels made. I have heard some bad stories about tailors getting the shoe size wrong or using poor material etc.

 

If you do know of a good shoe maker, can you please let me know!

I was in Pattaya about a month ago, and was on Walking St, my GF wanted something out of Boots the chemists, and right above ( and I kid you not) was a sign which said "Shoes made to Order". No idea other than that, anybody in Pattaya noticed this, or has any further info?

There is a good place on 2nd road just after the South Pattaya lights, its is called Bob's Boot leather. It is a few stalls down from the Small Mike Shopping mall (dont get it mixed up with the larger mike mall past the marriott).

 

Their will be a small blue sign hanging on the wall saying Bob's boot leather and u turn right and walk past a few stalls thats sell t-shirts, shorts etc etc.

Going up from Beach Road towards Second Road with The Bamboo on the right hand side, as you approach the traffic lights there is a small alley to your left. In there there is a man who makes shoes to measure. I bought a pair of plain black lace-ups for about 2,000 baht I think it was.

Thanks to everyone who replied! I'm not sure whether the guys who make boots though would make ladies high heels which are quite strappy? Someone told me you can take pictures from magazines of shoes or even models wearing strappy heels and they will copy them for you. Does anyone know of a place that will do that?
