First time in Pattaya - help choosing hotel

Recommended Posts

Hi there,

will be for the very first time in Pattaya - lets see if I can enjoy staying there :)

Anyway have planned to have a week visit there before heading to Cambodia...

But I have no idea about the hotel - please help me choosing it with the following criterias matched:

- close to walking st

- in room safe

- price range max 30euro - is it 1.500 baht

- and the one girls would like too :)

I am sure this issue has covered several times already but also I know there a group of people who already know the answer/answers...

And if you would like to join for a beer or two or any other kind of activity, please PM... I will be there starting at 23rd of Sep...

Cheers

jb

They like any room where a guy is willing to pay them as they say, "easy baht". :D

The Residence Gardens, if booked through this site, appears to come within your budget at 1,350 baht per night. Seperate bedroom, inroom safe, 2 swimming pools. Walking Street is only a few minutes away by baht bus. You can walk in around 15 minutes or so.

Oh - and the girls all love it.

Also known by many of the FLB girls as the FLB Hotel

I would suggest any of the hotels in Soi 13, Sandy Springs, Haven, AA, AA Residence or Dynasty Inn.

Main reason being it would be a little easier for a first timer to navigate around.

Walk down to Beach Rd and you have access to Walking St. Walk up to Second Rd and you have access to the lower Sois.

Not to forget the Inn House which, in my opinion, represents the best value.

I have been staying at the Dynasty for the last several years and I have never been charged a joiner fee either in Bangkok or Pattaya. One time when had 2

girls :eyecrazy was asked to pay for the second girl. Next time just had one of the girls come to the room alone.

I'd second the vote on Residence Garden. It is excellent value, and suits my preference to be rather close to the action yet removed enough for a quiet, mellow ambiance. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, the staff is inordinately helpful. the main pool and deck are really nice, and the restaurant is OK - though I will admit to frequenting only for breakfast and a few lunches. It's a short [5 minutes, at most] ride to the action area via countless "buses", but I like the walk to/from Walking Street, et al [maybe 15 minutes]. Booking thru FLB gets a nice rate. And, the previous poster was right on: the ladies LOVE this place. If I have any complaints, they like it so much they all want to linger way past the morning after -- not always my preference. Enjoy Pattaya - it is lots of fun and a unique place.

First time I'd give one of the following a try...

Eastinny Inn

Flipper House

Flipper Lodge

They are all close/in the action and on easy to figure baht bus routes.

They also have websites, just do a search.
