Som Nam Na

Don't know if this is correct place to post or not. But, I received a PM from member Som Nam Na and attempted reply. MY PM reply would not transmit with a box appearing that stated, "Som Nam Na does not have pemission to use personal messenger." This is a first for me! And, I don't understand? If person was able to send a PM why cannot they receive a reply? I had another PM from another board member and my reply was sent like always.

 

As this involves a meet next month in Pattaya, I sure would like my reply to go through.

 

Anyone experiencing similiar problems with PM reply?

That id is not currently a member of the board. If he gets around to validating his email address and applying for membership, he'll stand a much better chance of getting PM's.

Why would one need to re-validate membership? If you are once a member are you not always a member unless you have been banned? I don't know his history or why his status is currently "Validating". I suppose he might have changed his email address and the forum software reduced his status to Validating rather than Member until he replies to the email, which he has not done.

I moved this topic to this section because it relates to technical problems or questions. Also, in this section, the user in question will be able to see it, since he probably doesn't have Membership access until he revalidates his email.

Maybe magic but my guess is -

 

he sent you the message as a member (allowed to send PMs) then changed his email address (which moved him to the validating category (can not send PMs) and so far has failed to validate his new email (so still can not send or receive PMs)

ok guys ...here is the answer ....operator error .....tried to change my email adress but made a mistake enetering the new address .....catch 22 ...tried to revalidate but the revalidation emails kept on getting sent to the wrong email address which I couldn't access ....sent emails to the board moderator but did't get an answer .....any way reregistered .... pity becasue I have now lost the posts I accumulated ....back to being a newbie .....problem now is can't see the members bar ......still can't pm though

Ah, what a quandry! Send an email to martin@flbbar.com with your correct email and I will change it. Then, reply to the email and we'll get you back up and running.
