Sattahip Review

Recommended Posts

Hi Guys,

Please forgive me for posting this again but the one and only time I did really didn't get much feedback so must not be very popular for one reason or the other.

Just though maybe there is enough there to make an old guy like me happy enough without being in the constant action location of Pattaya, as I can always run up there as need for "goods and services". Hear the beaches around there are much better than the general Pattaya area, and living expenses there might possibly be a little more reasonable. So, any of you guys that have experience and some in-depth knowledge of Sattahip willing to provide an in-depth review here and opinion as whether it's even worth considering for retirement as an alternative to Pattaya. Thank guys and have a great day/enjoy. Old Bud

P.S. Just what is the travel time by public transport between there and "cental" Pattaya.

I can only offer second hand info from a guy I know who lived there for 3 months. He liked it as he's a beach bum and for him this was the main attraction. Prices were cheaper. There is action available. You need a motorbike to get around. The only reason he left, he was getting ready to head off to Japan for a few months.

Travel time he did mention it and if I remember correctly it was 45 minutes by motorbike.

It's 35 kilometers or about 22 miles. Takes about 30 minutes by car if you get a good run.

Pretty small place and not much there except the naval base (farangs not allowed).

Ban Chang with it's infamous blow job bars is fairly close but other than that it does not have much going for it in my opinion. It may well be cheap but not a place I'd choose to live.

HI Guys,

Thanks for the replies here, seems if doesn't have much going for it and evne though I like the quieter life, being an old fart like I am, quess Pattaya has much, much, more to offer, one one can always find the quieter side of it as others have mentioned here. Thanks for your time and effort here. Have a good one and enjoy.

Old Bud
