Wondering who has had any experience of this service ? My experiences:

The service is good, if a little pricy (when you know it from the inside).

I have used:

The Raj - 4 dishes inedible, total rubbish

Shenanigans - soups good, breakfasts did not travel well, chilli 3/10

Fatties - large portions but very poor quality. Substance yes, quality no.

Tequila Reef - overrated, poor quality.

Japanese Kitchen - the two dishes I tried to order were not available !

I get New Orleans to deliver direct, the same with other restaurants when I like some food in.

I have eaten in Tequila Reef and found the quality the same, poor. Shenanigans inside is great, the other 3 I have not eaten inside.

Any comments welcome.

I've used it a few times. You kind of have to expect your food to be a little bit below the quality of eating it at the restaurant. It's almost like it continues to "steam cook" inside the styrofoam containers during the delivery. For example, french fries(chips) will always arrive a little soggy.

I also think that the restaurant preparing the food cares even less than they normally do(is this even possible???) because it's going out the door. Delivery time was decent(30-45mins) and is, I would guess, dependent upon what you order, location, traffic, etc. Would I use it again? Yes. It's very convienient.

I normally just pick up a copy of the menu book and, after using it as a guide to figure out what I'm in the mood for, go directly to the restaurant.

Good service, always on time.

Most fod i've had has been good apart from New Orleans once.

Raj is crap now anyway.

Next year door2door has the turkish restaurant in it as well as Ali Baba, Jamesons and more.

(and an ad for a live music club :clap1 )

I know the guys who own it and have spoken to them but they are more concerned with the service levels of their staff, not the quality of the delivered goods.

Maybe they should have a feedback service as places like the Raj actually make you question using the Door2Door service.

Your right as the last time I was talking to Dave he was asking what I thought of the service and I said honestly that I thought it was superb, but if he'd of asked about the restaurant side then yes I had a few dodgy meals.

Can't fault the actual service though. :clap1

Can't fault the service as you say, always professional.

Maybe in its next incarnation, they will not have to chase so much business and can be more selective. Unfortunately, I know one place going in the next edition which I won't condemn here but will be on par with the Raj and do nothing for the Door2Door reputation.

Perhaps Dave and Des should be forced to eat in the restaurants they allow on the menu ?
