Security Alert- locked car..

Recommended Posts

This is very interesting.

Locked your keys in your car ???? Did you know this??

If you lock your keys in the car and the spare keys are at home, call

someone on your (or someone else's) cell phone. Hold your cell phone about

a foot from your car door and have the  other person at your home press the

unlock button of your key fob  (clicker), holding it near the phone on

their end. Your car doors will unlock.

Saves someone from having to drive your keys to you.

Distance is no object you could be hundreds of miles away, and if  you can

reach someone who has the other "remote" for your car, you can unlock the

doors or the trunk of your car.

Editor's Note * It works fine! We tried it out, and it unlocked our car

over a cell phone!)

Mike's Note * I locked the car had my youngest daughter call me while I was

far away from the car. I clicked open into the phone and I could hear the

car doors unlock through her cell phone.. My daughter confirmed that

sure  enough the doors opened.

+++++++++++++

try it and then tell me :D

Well it did not work for me :D

But this has more to do with the fact that my car door only opens with the key and does not have remote locking/un-locking

I am very poor

I tried it and didn't work. Unless you have those old fashion audible remote electronic signal don't travel through voice wave.

You knew that didn't you. :ang2 :clueless  That's why it's on the Funny Section.

I knew this would turn funny, just didn't start out that way.

BTW; I can just see BigRobo standing outside whistling at his car.

Followed the directions and it didn't open my car door but it did start the motor of the car beside me.

Just kidding! Of course it didn't work because a very important part of the instructions were missing.

I did it a second time and exactly when someone else pushes the button over the phone you turn the key in the lock and the door opens. Try it! This method works 100% of the time; if it's the right key.

lol Two minutes of my life wasted when I could have been reading posts on this board.

Suitcase, have you tried whistling yet? You should try that so your car will open since your car's remote is in different frequency.

I tried whistling. It didn't open my car doors but now I have a dog.
