Hotels with Internet in Room

Recommended Posts

Anything to be had around Soi 13? I know about Bella Villa on Soi 2. I stayed there, and liked it, but this time need to be closer in. I have a laptop and need to use it to access internet. Do the internet cafe's let you hook up with your own laptop?

If you have a laptop and a modem you're fine.

(maybe expept old AA). Just get a 30 hours package from loxinfo or others. Connect to the phone and dial away. You only get charged per call in Thailand (cept for some hotels of course, ask!)

I should have said that they had free broadband internet connection in the room.

It worked fine, but the bandwidth was a little slow for my broadband telephone. It apparently is a shared ASDL line, and at busy times cannot support my phone (It needs 90KB of constant bandwidth).

Soi 10 is a lot closer also than Soi 2

I do not have a link, as my Teelack and I went looking for a hotel with Internet in the rooms. After stopping at several, the Estony on Soi 8 told us that they did not internet in the room, but their new hotel on Soi 10 did.

As for the rate, I think that they charged me for 2 people, as my Thai GF negotiated the rate and stayed with me for the entire stay. I think it cost about 1000 Bt. with 2 breakfasts included.

It was brand new and a nice place. It is next door to the Sawdee hotel.

You might do a search for the Estony hotel on Soi 8 and email them to see if they have online bookings.

billrussel,

Thanks for the info, but cannot find any info on Estony (or various spellings) with internet searches. Sounds like it would work well for me except for my Skype needs. Fortunately, I will be there in a few weeks, so can look for it in person. Will post info at that time.

Hi guys! :D

Will soon hit the road down to " ol' Patty " myself, and I need a cheap (500-600 Baht) room with wireless Internet connection myself. I will rent per month and can pay max. 15000 baht all inclusive. Location is no big problem as long it's between 3 road and the beach.

I used to stay at Thai Archer a great place in soi Metro, only 10000 baht a month incl wireless in the low season, and 13000 baht high season, but I need some backup if it's full in January. Heard that The Metro in the same soi has some similar deals? Any more places you guys who are in town at the moment knows of? I am specially interested in places on or near the soi Bua Khao area. I'll appreciate your answers! Cheers! :D plahgat

Doesn't the NEW Whitehouse Condotel, Soi 13, have high speed Internet in the rooms :clueless

I read somewhere they wired the place with hi-speed Ethernet cabling.

Also, Mike's on Soi 4 I understand has hi-speed WIRELESS Internet.

The Penthouse Hotel on Soi13/4 has an open Wi-Fi connection that can be used in the cafe on the ground floor. Also if you don't mind taking your laptop outside you can get free Wi-fi in Shenanigans (next door to the Marriott) and also at the Expresso coffee shop south side of Buakaow Market square. I've used my laptaop in both and they are pretty fast.

The Marriott has wired internet in the rooms but like the cost of the rooms it is pricey. Also, Misty's has free wireless internet.

In my ocean view room at the Sandy Spring, Soi 13, August I found a weak but useable open wireless connection - not the hotel's but it worked for me <grin

Hi guys!

Just found out that Diamond City Place also has Wireless Internet connection in their rooms, and standard room for 9000 baht a month is not such a bad deal! Location not that bad either just up South Pattaya road passed the Friendship Supermarket, before the third road crossing. Within walking distance to Walking Street and the beach or just a quick ride on the bahtbus! Will definitely check it out next time! plahgat
