Hi.

Bert who used to work in the Queen Vic., Soi6, has opened a new bar on Soi 6/1 called Tropacal Bert's, Same name as the one he had on Soi 0 but this one has 5 rooms for rent, the rooms are big with 6ft bed 3 piece suite, A/C, fan, Sat. TV, dvd etc. Looked at the rooms last night and they are great, and brand new building, he is charging 700B for short time rental which is a good deal. He is at the second road end of soi 6/1.

Cheers Doug.

700baht for ST rental? Why?

I'm not there to look at DVDs.

Ruby room is 250 ST and its equivalent to some hotel rooms.

Hi guys, I am new to this forum and will visit Pattaya around Dec 2006. (high season in Pattaya I believe) so will need a decent place for a nice low price.

Tried a search but came up empty on the "Ruby room."

What is the location of this place and is there a e-mail or web site for booking in advance.

If not , I may try to book with SkyTop or Timberbeer Bar--as these places seem to have decent prices.

Thanks

ST means Short Time. You rent the room for youknowhat. Not a hotel.

Do you mean ST or nightly? Bit confusing.

I'm sure he meant 'short term', meaning daily. Long term to mean monthly or fortnightly.

Short time, of course, has a differing meaning.

Hi,

Seeing you are not supposed to to talk about sex etc on the open forum i thought it would be logical to assume when talking about hotels a S.T. stay would mean a stay of up to 2 weeks. At least a few of you have some common sense

Cheers Doug.

Glad we have that cleared up.

So any nice decent hotels or GH (guest friendly of course) for inexpensive price will be appreciated during the high season when I will be there.

Thanks

Your post is titled New Bar so I made a leap of Pattaya logic concerning the phrase "short time".

My mistake.

Tropical Bert's is really more of a pub with rooms than anything else. It's across 2nd Road from the Bangkok Bank in a set of shop houses called Discovery Park at Soi 6/1.
