hotel cost bangkok

have just checked prices of hotels in bkk. low season is as high as high season. has been 2 years since i have stay in hotel in bkk as i have place in pattaya now. had hoped to stay over for 1 night but cost puts it out of question this time. 30% increase in cost . has pattaya gone the same way too? 4 weeks tilll wheels up.

The high/low season I find very strange in Bangkok as well, as you pointed out the prices do not drop dramatically. Depending on what type of activities you are looking for I would suggest the Swiss Grottino or Majestic Suites. But judging from your post I am not even clear as to whether you actually need a room or not in BKK.

thanks for the info. looks like a taxi home instead of bkk. was hoping that hotel rooms would be down to save 2 taxi fares. as i arrive 1 day before my wife. one day alone in pattaya what shall i do . thanks again, cheers ,
