Instructions on joining the Members Only Forum

Recommended Posts

Easy going, once you are registered (which you are) you will see a board above this one (General discussion about Pattaya) entitled "How to join the members forum". Click on it and it re-directs you to a page explaining how to join.

You can go directly to the page as well, it's http://www.pattayatalk.com/joinmembers.html

I thought I was registered as a member... but apparently not for the "members only" forum... and upon checking further it appears you will not accept my e-mail address: destgervais@yahoo.com So now what? BTW I am a member of Pattaya Talk. StGervais

i to tried to join this but would not except my email beano316uk@yahoo.co.uk what was i doing wrong.

The problem is your "free" email address, they reject them because it's too easy for spammers and trolls to create loads of accounts.

If you can still remember it, use the address that your ISP gave you. If you can't remember how to access that, they might accept a Gmail address because spammers tend avoid Gmail's extra layer of checking and stick with Hotmail and Yahoo.

????

www.gmail.com

What do you mean? I'm sitting in Edinburgh right now and it appears just fine for me. Pretty much everyone I know uses it every day.

I know that there is some dispute over the domain gmail.co.uk but who the Hell wants a .co.uk for their email address, all that happens is people remember your address as a .com anyway. Same goes for yahoo.co.uk and hotmail.co.uk, retarded idea.

  • 2 weeks later...

After application, does registration come via e-mail? The instructions page does not have a STEP 3 i.e. how members are informed.

I've applied.

Cheers

In 40 minutes, I'll be up to 72 hours waiting for access. Is 3 days a record or can anyone beat me? I guess it must be my BO and bad breath!!!

Well im trying to join too! Only trouble is it keeps saying the adress :lovee :D is wrong? Im typing, members@pattayatalk.com.

What am i doing wrong? Im sending from an wanadoo adress?

maybe worth trying again and make sure you click the link on the webpage

to get your email to open with the email address already filled in for you.

http://www.pattayatalk.com/joinmembers.html

also maybe if your using outlook express, click the tools button on the email box and click "request read receipt" and then you should get a reply email when they open your email

Well, that's me well into my 6th day without access since sending the registration e-mail.

I even applied using the template!

I'm flying tomorrow and was hoping to have access before arriving - does anyone know if the moderators actually read these messages? If not, could someone suggest one of the mods who is reliable and who might be able to arrange access - I'll then try a private message.

Thanks

Dear Moderating Team,

Hope one of you reads and responds to this message - I have attempted to send a private message/email but do not have access to these functions.

I am still unable to access the members forum - i would appreciate it if you could enable this access or inform me why this is not possible.

Thanks!

If you are not a member yet, email and PM will not work. You should click this link to see instructions on how to get access to the members' forum.

Also, for those of you who experienced a delay recently, I apologize. I was out of town for the last 4 days and didn't have access to a computer.

I've processed all the member requests sent since 9 July, so check your email. You should have a response from me by now.

Hey, I just signed up as well. But I read that page and all that and I don't have an email address that isn't yahoo or hotmail. I see that MM is checking this thread and stuff so I am going to send an email with my hotmail account in hopes of him adding me.

So wish me luck.

I am visiting in Jan and I can not wait! I have heard great things! :banana
