Hotel in BKK - Royal Benja

A bit off topic here, but this seems to be the only hotel in BKK that even HAS availability in late december. Anyone ever been here?

I stayed there just over a year ago. Average hotel and a 500b joiner fee. Avoid it if you can get something else.

I just made a reservation yesterday at Majestic Suites for late Dec. Have you tried there?

I always stay in the Majestic Suites, it suits my needs perfectly.

It's quite small and a bit worn around the edges, just like me. The staff are always very friendly and with regards to bringing ladies back with you, I think it's expected - at least they always look at me funny if I return alone.

 

Come to think of it most people look at me funny.

Joiner fee?? Shit. I vowed to NEVER pay that! I tried most other hotels but they all seem booked for 12/29 through 12/31 in BKK. Stayed at Majestic Suites last time and while the room was okay, the breakfast was shit and the lady at the FD gave me a hard time. I will have to keep searching. Thanks.

I would suggest giving the Royal Asia a try assuming you have not done so already. Decent hotel at the bottom of Soi 8 with a tuktuk up and down to Sukhumvit.

Stayed there and won't do it twice.

 

As stated above, 500 baht joiner fee. So two "guests" cost me 1000 baht/night!!

 

And it ain't all that great anyway. Not a shit hole, but starting to look a bit dated.

I stayed there with TGF some years ago. Nice big rooms, but the employees insulted her - we asked for a massage place and they asked if her customer wanted an other girl for a threesome and she's not a BG.

Thanks to everybody! I have decided to stay at the Majestic Suites afterall. I don't care for their rooms, but it's only 2 days until pattaya and MS does not charge for joiners (I'm sure of that)!
