You did not booked your return fligtht out of Don Muang, you booked it out of BKK and BKK was transfered to new airport on september 28th 03.00 am.

Hello, I would try to confirm my reservation. For a fee I am sure the hotel desk people or a local travel agent can check to see if everything is in order. My goodness.. what would you do if you got to airport and they said your flight had been cancel and you would have to wait for the next available seat ? You might be stuck in Thailand for few extra days...or hopefully for a few extra weeks. That would be a shame!! :eyecrazy Good luck.

Go to the new airport, but for your peace of mind first go to the web site for your airline, get their local number (probably a Bangkok number), and call them to confirm your return flight.

I was through the airport on the 4th of October, well...missed my flight on the 4th and was there on the 5th again.

Traffic from Pattaya to the Airport can be really iffy (as in sucks so bad the taxi driver will get off the freeway and try to go through the towns), especially if there are accidents. There were several on the 4th including one that I'm presuming was a fatality. One victim was wrapped in white head to toe and one end was really bloody. looked like a giant tampon :banana

The airport itself seems to be improving quickly but still, allow yourself extra time.

Give yourself *plenty* of extra time.

good luck.

I just came back back on Sunday the 15th. I will pass along a few thing I noticed.

If you have someone or a taxi waiting to pick you up agree on what gate you will meet at beforehand.

There are 3- A - B - C. You can go through any letter after you pick up your baggage.

When leaving get there early. I checked into my flight at 6:10 am for my 8:10 JLA flight. Thier was a huge line for the 500 baht exit fee. They do not have the ATM style machines hooked up yet. You have to walk up to the window and pay the fee to receive the exit ticket. The JLA window is in section R in the airport. The line at that exit ticket booth was long and in Thailand fashion slow. While I was in line, I noticed another ticket booth to the far right. It was open and no one was in line. I was able to walk right up and in to the custom control area.

The passport control area is a very slow. For all the morning international flights that leave around the same time they only have 1/3 of the stations open. It took about 4 minutes for each person to be stamped and be able to pass. It took me 1 and 10 minutes to get through the line. All the lines were going slow so it was not the person in my station. They have a new system and it keeps freezing up and not all the people are trained yet.

I am sure these problems will be fixed soon. Like what has been said before give yourself plenty of time.

I wouldn't worry. Like you I arrived in LOS at the old airport and then departed from the new one on the 5th of Oct. Regarding checking with your airline about a change in flight times, my airline send me an email everytime there is a change in any of my flight times, even when they are only 5 minutes.
