Hi,

It's not an exact science, but one girl who works at lastminute told me January is a good time to book. Maybe it's a quiet month after Christmas and targets have to be met ?

Hi everyone,

Looking to book up for July07 - Do u think it would be better to look for deals now and book up or wait till maybe sometime after xmas??

Cheers.

Definitely after Christmas and New Years as more deals are offered after the peak holiday season--when they can charge you more than double at that time.

hello, Mak. Well, hate to say it but it depends..... I wanted to use an award trip so as everyone knows those babies are very limited and book out FAST! I already booked for June/July of 2007 using miles and I was lucky to find something available. If it's a regular booking for June/July? I think the best thing to do if you can be VERY flexible is to wait. Hotels will be a plenty - no worries there. Prices will fluctuate midly between FEB/JUNE with an inclination to lower as June approaches. As long as your dates are flexible I think it best to wait. Mind you, this pearl of wisdom is solely based on what I've read on these boards and the two trips I've taken (Jan/Dec) and (June/July). Good luck and do let us know what the outcome is? Cheers.

Last Jan - BA and Qantas had a Jan sale, for flight booked between the 30th April and 31st July.

Price about £450 including taxes, flying from Heathrow.

For a 12 hour direct flight a very good deal - I advise all Brits to wait and see if the offer is repeated.

Regular food and drinks on flight with good entertainment system. I'll be flying with Qantas again.

I dont think any fast rules in uk ,I fly out last July paid £392 and flying out in Nov payed £402

What I do is when I know when i am going I check weekly and when I happy with price I book

there and then ,

In my advantage I can be very flexable with my holidays and travel dates .
