Jasmine Mansion Soi Boukhow

Recommended Posts

There is no charge at the Jasmine Mansion for 1 guest, i stayed there with my thai girl friend

and my mate with his.

The charge is for more than 1 guest in a room so if you like 2 to 6 girls then a charge

will be added seems fair to me.

Any man who takes home two BG's is a complete stud. :clueless

One is enough for me.

Could not agree more with you Ben99, 1 is more than enough for me to.

Some people seem to think they can do what they want when they book a hotel room.

I still have every respect in Kevin and Jin and will continue to support the

Jasmine Mansion.

On my next trip I might try two ladies at once :bow I will need to take one of those Levita tablets (like Viagra but more expensive, with no side effects, well not for me at least) and quite possibly some Kamagra Jelly as well.

Now theres a thought- anyone ever taken a pill and the jelly at the same time? - what a night that would be <grin

To Ben99:

If you're looking for a hotel in the Soi Bukhaow area, try the Thai Archer. I liked it alot. It doesn't have a lift either, but the Wireless internet was good, they didn't have a joiner fee that I know of, and it's nice anc close to walking street. In fact it's right next door to LK Metro, so that gives you an idea of the location. Just beware, cause I've heard it from others......the receptionist likes to make eyes at you, even if your tilak is standing right there. Of course it could be cause I'm hansum man mak-mak, no? <grin

I've been eyeing up the Metro, for it's 450 baht a day, long term rate, so I await Scumbag's comments with anticipation.

Jasmine is also a possiblity as cleanliness and security are crucial to me. I do wonder why Jasmine is more expensive than Metro though <grin

I will definately check out the Thai Archer. Do you have a website address?? The receptionist can check me out anytime :beer

Metro is good, as my budget next summer, is 4500baht a day for two months, so 500 for room will leave me a highly respectable 4000 baht a day for two months :bow

I stayed there last trip and agree that it is a good place to stay. The receptionist told me many times that she was broken hearted. When she said it it was always in front of my lady.

Ben, I may have an email address for the Thai Archer. I'll have a look and PM it to you if I have it.

I will re-enter the discussion purely as relates to the extra charge comments regarding the additional guests.

The room rate is based on 2 persons staying. That is how we set the business up and therefore three people staying is subject to an additional cost. As others have quite clearly pointed out that bringing in a visitor or visitors for one or more days or even the entire duration of ones stay does NOT incur any additional charge.

It needs to be remembered that this policy is not simply designed to discriminate against those who prefer to spend the night with 2 or more ladies (my experience shows they are, in fact, in the minority). There are a number of people who come into the hotel wanting a room for three males sharing. Should we elect to permit this, and we often do not, then the "extra" person is subject to the charge.

Obviously there is an additional expense for a hotel in terms of linen, towels and so forth but realistically this is minimal and a poor excuse for levying a charge over, say, B50. For us here it is rather more a preventitive measure as experience has shown that problems can often (not in all cases obviously) arise either within the room concerned or impact upon other guests in terms of, for example, noise. There have been incidents of girls getting jealous and fighting causing damage to the room (one room had to be closed for a week whilst repairs were undertaken - yes we got the damage paid for but not the consequential loss) or the threesome partying rather too much causing disturbances to other guests. All of these things have to be dealt with and attended and all of this takes time and costs money. We therefore take the middle road and levy a charge which we advise customers of quite clearly in advance, rather than adopt a dogmatic line by refusing access to the third person. Please also remember this is overnight and not daytime visits and I believe a few of your members here can testify to this.

As I have said on previous occassions and repeat yet again this is our hotel policy but like all of our policies it is negotiable should a guest wish to discuss the matter with either my wife or myself. For those customers known to us and who discuss the matter the charge for a third person is generally reduced or even waived. In the event of a guest having his GF's child or children staying for some period of time we do not charge anything and provide an extra bed/mattress, linen, towels, pillows all completely free.

As a business owner I have to look at providing the level of service and facilities required by the majority of customers and to accept in some circumstances we will not be the first choice for others. With an average occupancy level of over 80% since we opened two years ago, at least 60% of our customers at any one time being returning guests and a record level of advance bookings (almost 200% higher than the same stage last year) I have to believe our policies and the way we run the business are, to a large degree, correct.

I will be the first to admit that the hotel is not perfect and we are constantly considering new ideas and improvements. We are hoping to have WiFi connectivity before this year is out - I have ordered it and am simply in the hands of the suppliers now. I want to have flat screen LCD televisions and DVD/CD players in all rooms during 2007 if possible and we will continue our policy of ongoing maintenance and annual redecoration. In addition we are considering combining some of the Standard Doubles into "Junior Suites" to give a Bedroom and Living Room and this is presently at the design and costing stage.

We have numerous ideas related to our restaurant and improvements we wish to make here and will also soon be installing a pool table for our guests in the bar area.

I hope that those of you who put forward this particular theme at least understand where I am comming from even if you may not agree with us on this particular point. It remains a relatively free world and we all, therefore, have a choice. Whatever your preference and wherever you stay I simply wish you a pleasant and enjoyable stay in Pattaya.

Ben

On my last trip I actually spent time in all 3 of the Hotels you are interested in.

If you are looking for cleanliness then you will have no problem with the Jasmine. I would envisage that you will not encounter any of the situations I came across, which have now been exhausted on this thread and as far as I am concerned no bad feelings are harboured towards anybodies comments. No business will ever have a 100% rating. The only thing I will say is that if you are on the 4th floor if the pressure on the shower has not increased, this may be a slight problem. However I believe this is being looked at and I dont want to open old wounds.

The Metro is probably the best value for money hotel I have stayed in, in Pattaya. I could only stay there a few nights because it was booked up. Clean rooms and a balcony. Although they advertise the pool tables downstairs are free, you do have to pay to play on the best one. The Internet is also good there. I would not hold my breath if booking late for this place so get in as early as you can if you want it.

The Thai Archer is basically priced the same as the Jasmine and is also a good clean room with a nice bathroom. It has a nice bar to drink in and yes the receptionist is a case. I would have no hesitation in recommending.

All 3 hotels have no elevator.

MIGHTYONE - If you want to give me a call or pop in next time you visit Pattaya I will gladly by you a drink or two and perhaps we can put our differing opinions well and truly behind us - very possibly our characters are similar rather than wildly different!!!

FYI I'm at the Metro Apts now. The pay pool table is now gone. The three remaining are free for guests and those having a drink. (Minimum of 1 drink per hour I believe.) I don't play pool so I can't comment on the tables, but they are always quite busy in the evening.

Soi LK Metro is L-shaped. The Thai Archer is ON Soi LK Metro around the corner from Metro Apts. and across from Lolita's.

I have always had a temper, although not quite so bad these days, but one thing I have never done is bear a grudge, it is not in my nature and as you quite rightly say "life is too short". Yes you can buy me one back or two or three, hell who cares? I will, however, say farewell once you get into the mood for your ladies as my life would be exceedingly shortened by Mrs Boss were I to get too close to that scene!!

Glad we appear sorted and I look forward to a social get together soon. In the meantime all the best.

cheers,

Kevin

How wonderful we are all friends again.

Next thing will be a Mightyone trip report, with Cookie/Mike in a soi 6 shower :thumbup

Mike, more than once and it will be an indication of your sexual preferences :bj2

Kevin

Thank you for that explanation, :D which, as I stated prior, is the only sensible one that I have heard since hotels started asking for the surcharge (approx mid 90s). I wish you continued success and I'm sure your "trials and tribulations" would always be welcome on here. :D
