I'll also be staying at Metro Apartments in May, the second half to be more precise. After reading the positive reviews on here I decided it was certainly worth checking out. If the speedy and informative manner that Dennis replies to email inquiries is any indication of the quality in which the apartments are managed, this is a very well run establishment. Now the painful part begins of counting the many days till I get to party at the Metro! :)

Cheers!

Thanks for the comments, JBM101.

By the way - any/all BMs welcome on 17th March for St. Patrick's Day bash. Free stew and live Western music in the evening. Paddy music earlier in the day. <grin

Remember it's a guesthouse, not a hotel,

For the ignorant among us (ME), what is the difference between a guesthouse and a hotel?

Tengotodo,

Hotels tend to offer/have more facilities: e.g. restaurant, swimming pool, business centre, childcare centre, room service, etc.etc.....

Guesthouses offer more basic services, room with/without breakfast, no pool, etc.

Metro is probably an above-average guest house with our facilities:

air con

fan

room safe - free

hot water shower (some are not heated)

kingsize bed

cable tv

coffee making facility (free coffee in superior rooms)

in-room WIFI - free

DVD player - free

laundry service

minibar.

Some of the facilities listed free above are charged extra in some guesthouses.

Some guesthouses charge for the room and then extra for water and electric.

Here that is all included in the room price - hence as I say 'above-average'.

In hotels - where they also 0ften charge for WIFI - utilities are included.

Hope this doesn't confuse you even more! :D
