Health Certificate

Hi All,

 

Apparantly I need to get a Health Certificate from a "local registered and legitimate" doctor.

 

Can anybody recommend one?

When I needed to get one for my retirement visa this past Sep I went to Dr Belem. She is located on that soi where the Bangkok Bank is located on 2nd Rd. Soi 6 is nearby on the opposite side of 2nd Rd. Cost was either 200 or 300 baht. Walked in without an appointment and had the signed certificate in less than 10 minutes.

Went to Pattaya Memorial Hospital and got it in less than a half hour with a cost of 120 baht. But I didn't need one to renew my retirement visa last month.

Thanks guys,

 

Have been to see Dr Belen. Took my blood pressure, asked if I had any illness, signed the cerificate and I paid 150 baht.

 

In and out in less than 5 minutes.

 

Nice to see some Thai efficiency!!!

What's the certificate for?

 

When I renewed my retirement visa in August my health certificate cost me 80 baht but this requirement has since been done away with.

 

A health certificate is still required the first time you apply for a Thai driving licence.

Its for my work permit. All sorted now thanks and I will use it for my driving licence application.

I'd like to meet up with you when you have chance for a beer or two, if thats ok with you. Just to swap stories and get some of your wisdom face to face. Let me know when you are free.
