I'm not exactly sure of the prices out of those two since I'm flying out of Las Vegas but it's got to be better than the $816 that I paid the other day. The flights I was looking at connected in LA and San Fran from Vegas.

Just a heads up for y'all...

Oh and that $816 is after taxes, fees, etc. :D

I checked it out for May and heres a price I got for United. Best I have seen in a long time. I wish I had the time to go! But for all you other BM - Go for It if you can! The itinerary was for LAX-BKK, RT on 5/17 - 5/29.

Base Fare (1 adult) = $ 508.00

Taxes and Fees = $ 254.79

Total Price = $ 762.79

Just a comment: On NW taxes are $44.59; The $254.79 United has must be primarily fuel surcharge, which NW incorporates in its base fare. Still, this fare is about $500 less than NW for the same dates, based on total fare.

Wishing I was there!

I bought a ticket on eva last week. I Have been a united premier paltinum for a decade. But i finally got tired of the crappy service especially in the last couple of years. So no more UA flights for me (even though my brother is a UA pilot) I will use my milage to book sing air biz class when available. Until then I'll take the $1004 delux seating on eva like I just paid.

I am looking forward to getting some real service from an airline. Sing air was great. Thai air was goofy. United seems to send their flight & gate attendants to the "piss on them" school. Nice part will be leaving bkk at 1 p.m. instead of 6 a.m. like united. :thumbup

I just arrived on United on the 5th. Ticket price was $784 R/T from Sacramento and since United had given me a $200 flight coupon as a result of some shitty serive by their gate agents in SFO in December it only cost me $584. I like their FF program. I get to sit in their Economy Plus area at no additional cost and am allowed to use their lounge at no cost at International airports. Last year I made 6 R/Ts to BKK from Sacramento at an average cost of $400. This year I'm looking to better that mark.
