How much to fly a dog to Thailand

Recommended Posts

I might want to live in Thailand in the next few years and was just wondering how much the airlines charge to fly a dog to Thailand from the UK ? Has anyone on here flown any pets to Thailand or can someone give me an idea as to how much it might cost and which airline is best ?

Cheers

there was some good advice posted on this before, mainly concerning the dog about its age etc and would it aclimatise to living in los, after all its the dogs welfare that is the most important factor in this, worth a thought maybe :banana

My advice is take it to the vets for a nice long sleep.

Then just stuff it and if its small enough take it on as carry on luggage. Any questions say you won a cuddly toy at the local fun fair.

i know a bar owner that brought several pets from uk. So it can be done.

He needed certificates from uk vets and then he had some paperwork filled in from some importation dept situated next to Don muang airport. Cant remember the exact dept but if your serious about this then i will find out for you.

The upshot of it was that the animals only had to be inspected quickly and they were cleared within hours of arriving by plane. Incidently the animals arrived on a separate plane from him (i guess they're just treated like live-stock cargo!)

They're now living happily in Patts

My girls's sister sent her dog over from Holland. It cost quite a bit and there was more to pay at the airport at this end. The poor thing is a beagle and lives in Buriram where it is just too hot. I would seriously suggest not bringing the dog unless it is a small one and even then i would caution against it.

My thoughts exactly, Thailand doesn't need any extra dogs, and definitely not in my street! :D
