Can't make my signature a link to web site

Sorry to trouble people with this. I use the make link button, add both url and a title - but just get the script reproduced. Looks stupid.

What am I doing wrong?

No proper web board is going to let you run scripts or auto-links on their site. Just a guess, but my guess is it's a security block.
