Sorry Guys, for whatever reason I have not posted this event on FLB and I feel a little guilty because if you love Indian curry you need to be here on a Tuesday. Anyway here it is from scratch from another board, apologies for any conflicting info.

Curry eating fellow members

It is normally by invitation only, however, I had a word with the main man (the curry maker) and others involved in the scoff of the curry and it was decided that, if some of you peeps out there really appreciate a tasty curry, then there would be no better place in Pattaya for you to sample some of the Chef's delight.

So, here's the offer...it's 200 baht per person...You get your curry, rice, naan and a beer and 'if' there is any left you can always go back for more...Chef has been doing this now for 4/5 weeks, he uses only the best ingredients (no msg, goo, preservatives or any other weird shit) and I am yet to meet anyone that was disappointed! It may not be the cheapest plate of fodder you can get, though it is the tastiest Indian curry you'll find!

So, here's your chance to meet a bunch of locals, board members, visit Noi's on the darkside, fill your stomach with a top curry, enjoy an ice cold beer, kick back, have a laugh and relax.

Chef did it again last night…Success on a plate!

What a sumptuous Dhansak it was. Chef did cheat a little on the night as he wanted a bit of feed back from us regular gannets regarding his naan breads last week, he didn't get any, so he didn't make any! However, he did order some naan in and complimented his great food with a popadom too boots.

For me, last nights curry has been his best yet, the way he prepares his Dhansak is exquisite, a sweet taste to begin with, a charm of chilli in the background all built around lentils and chunks of chicken.

DELICIOUS!

So what's on the menu for next week?

It is my favourite curry of all time and I'm really happy it got voted in last night.

Rogan Josh it is, Rogan josh came initially from Kashmir in Northern India and in this recipe extra spices are used, which are tempered with a generous helping of cream. The name derives from Rogan meaning being 'cooked in clarified butter' & being 'red in colour' due to the tomatoes and/or red peppers used and Josh meaning 'hot and passionate' and made from 'Lamb'. So expect something spicy that might help your libido

However, this is Chef we are talking about so expect a few changes…One being the base meat, Chef is going to attempt Beef and no he ain't gonna use the sole of his shoe! The rest of his changes as ever are a well kept secret.

Last night was a busy night and I expect a busier night next week, so if you want a fantastic Indian curry for 200 baht with a beer thrown in for good measure, get your name down lil lil!!!

Happy Days

Chef to date has prepared

Jalfrezi

Madras

Tikka Massala

Nice one bullfrog, will look forward to seeing you and your partner.

There is parking outside the bar though it all depends on how busy it is whether you get a space or not...either way you'll always get near to the place.

Cheers, see you December.

The curries are mean and hurt when they bite :banana

Well curry munchers...somewhat of a change to the plan!

Tuesday night is curry night...nothing changes there!

7pm start time...nothing changes there either

Rogan Josh on the menu...nope, all same there too!

However, it's gonna be LAMB Rogan Josh, New zealand Lamb at that! So, heres the catch...Chef has had to shell out a substantial amount of baht on that near 4kg beast...So you might want to consider delving into your pockets for a little extra :finger you know, to help make it all balance out.

Depending on the numbers coming Chef will be covering his costs by adding an extra 50 baht to the bill...However, if plenty turn up I'm sure he'll be prepared to do something with the little extra :allright

So, come on guys, get your names down and he'll keep the price down!

Oh and for the regulars of the bar, it's Nois birthday Monday 13th...Shite food, shite ale, shite company, shite bar and shite LIVE BAND...and I'm sure they'll be a few shite free beers involved too!

Happy Days

So....How did last night go?

It's fair to say it was a good turn out for Chef and everyone waited in anticipation for his Lamb Rojan Josh.

For me, it was perfect and I mean perfect, not to hot, full of flavour and it had huge chunks of lamb...Which i'm still enjoying picking out of my teeth today <grin

However, it was a little ha sip ha sip for a fair few...Chef had forgotten to serve his bowls of freshly chopped chillies, so on the back hand, he got a few comments regarding the heat of the Rogan Josh...'Chef, not very spicy this week'! Needless to say, Chef is still figuring stuff out and one week in the near future he'll get it all right on the same night

Okay, here is the plan for next week...With a fair few people commenting on spice, Chef has decided to go balls out (hopefully not his balls in) and make a favorite of the lager louts of England...So come guys...get your tongue round this hot beauty!!!

Vindaloo, yep you hear me...VINDALOO...Beef Vindaloo and it's gonna be a cracker, maybe even an ass cracker...So who has the minerals? The authentic taste of vindaloo comes from a unique blend of the fat in the meat, the garlic, vinegar, and the chillies.

Guys, it's gonna be a hot one!

Last night was a sell out, so if you want in, you gotta get your name down!

Cheers all and hope to see you next week

I quite enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. Thanks Kolobos! I do wish the food were spicier, but I absolutely understand why it's not. I had three Indian roommates in university so my taste buds are damaged.

Bring on the vindaloo!

Lee,

I love a curry and I hope they are still going when we are there for a month just after Xmas as we live not too far from your place.

I went past your bar every day for a month earlier in the year but for some reason I was of the understanding that your place was just a short time bar and it was a little bit too close to home for me to be sticking my dick into your girls.

I will definitely be visiting on our next trip and I hope you still have some of your DVD's for sale.

Cheers,

Wayne
