Gulf Air and Oman Air

Recommended Posts

I'm looking for next April and the main websites are showing these two as by far the cheapest. I've got no experience of either and AirlineQuality.com has some negative reports - old planes and short seat pitches mostly.

Can anyone confirm that they are that bad? Being large and not wealthy enough to pay for business class, I need a reasonable sized seat in economy.

Looking for a seat this early IS a gamble I know, I'm betting that prices will go up, not down.

Ive used Gulf before, cant say the seat pitch was a problem for me, no more than any other airline anyway and im 6ft tall. The inflight entertainment was crap, no screens in the seats. But this was 4 years ago now maybe they have upgraded by now. Id use them again for sure.

Same for me, used Gulf Air some years ago and, in economy, it was awfully cramped for me. Seat pitch was tight.

They certainly offer cheap flights, and in the current climate, there may be little alternative below £500.

Gulf had the smallest seats Ive ever sat in in economy although this was a few years ago now.

Maybe they have upgraded planes ?

Thanks all. That's the sort of info that this board excels at - there's always someone who knows what you need to find. :clap1

I think I'm going to leave booking for now after all. Eva is showing £530 for March flights, hopefully if I wait a month, they'll show the same for April. Fingers crossed.

Hi Guys.

Just used Gulf Air for my last trip 1st June until 30th June and no problems for

me at £424, just joined there Frequent Flyer Program.

Entertainment not to bad with screens in back of seat, sometimes feels cramped

when person in front reclines there seat but that no different then other airlines.

Gulf Air is one of the cheapest airlines at the moment and i have already and weeks

ago booked with them my next flight 22nd November until 17th January for just £496.

Which has only max stop-overs of either 90 mins or 2 hours.
