In an excellent location, just a few meters from Hell and Lolitias. :bigsmile:

Just a couple of comments, why don't you post your weekly and monthly rates and I would show on your map just how close it is to Soi Buakow where one can catch a baht bus that will either take you south to the Walking St area or a northbound bus that will take you up to the Soi 8, Soi6 and Big C area.

What are you ranting about? I know its close but someone that's not familiar with the area would have no clue as the map that's shown is not to scale. Take a look at the distance shown between Beach Rd and 2nd Rd on Soi 11 and then look at the distance shown from his hotel to Soi Buakaow. Also those not familiar with the Soi Buakaow area are not aware of the baht bus routes, when you have some positive features about your location one should stress them. You wouldn't make a very good salesperson or you need to lay of the sauce before you post. :banghead

Again a post from you that doesn't make any sense. Let me dumb this down for you. The owner posts this topic to draw attention to his business. This is in the open forum so it's read by many who are not familiar with Pattaya. He includes a map that is not to scale so those not familiar with the area would think that his place is a distance to get to much of the action in Pattaya and give it a pass. I post a comment that I think it would be benefical if he included the actual short distance to Soi Buakaow on his map and also state that baht buses run on Buakaow which makes it an excellent location.

Emil,to be fair I can not think of a position in Pattaya between 3rd road and beach rd (east to west) and dolphin roundabout and south pattaya road

(north to south ) that is further from a baht bus route than the bar with rooms we are talking about.

This is mainly due to the great coverage of the baht bus system, and although not a long walk some people may not feel like walking that distance.

Tonka this place is only about 30 meters from the baht bus line. I can think of many hotels that are a greater distance than that from a baht bus route and I've stayed and am currently staying at places that were of greater distance. On top of that from this location if you want to go to Walking St during the evening it is also faster. I live north of Pattaya Klang near the Nova Park and its about a 4 minute walk to Pattayklang and 3rd Rd to catch a baht bus or about a 5 minutes walk to the Soi Buakow/Pattayaklang intersection. When going to Walking St we take the longer walk to Buakaow to catch the baht bus because the last time we caught the baht bus that went down Pattayaklang and then turned left along the beach it took 30 minutes due to traffic (no accident or construction) to reach Walking St. No breeze and breathing alot of fumes from tour busses.

I agree that there is great baht bus coverage and have mentioned many times that if you want to save some baht then venture out from the Beach Rd/2nd Rd area. Even if one stays within those boundries, if their hotel is midway between those roads they are walking a greater distance to reach the baht bus route than the 30 meters it is from the Irish Rovers.

As one who lives within sight of the Irish Rovers Bar, Soi Buakhao and Soi Dianna, I absolutely agree with you Emil, except I would have said it might be 50 meters. All else you say is spot on. It's very convenient to the baht bus routes in this area.;

30 meters ?

Well lets say its 15 meters across the road to the cock and bull, now you go from there to make the extra 15 meters to soi buakow.

I`ll have a pint there the next time I am in the area.

Then walk from the door to soi buakow and count the meterage.

Think well find it is in excess of 100 yards.

No its not a long way for us younger guys, but some

of the older guys like to be dropped at the door.

You could be right about it being closer to 100 but it still much closer to the baht bus route than many other hotels in Pattaya. Like I said before, many of the hotels within the bounds of Beach Rd and 2nd Rd where many newbie stay, are further and it faster getting to Walking St than going down Beach Rd.

The purpose of my original post on this topic was to suggest to the OP to put the distance on his map (whatever that distance is) because the map that he shows is not to scale. Take a look at the map and you can see that the distance from Beach Rd to 2nd Rd is less than the distance from his place to Soi Buakaow. Do you want to make a friendly wagger about those distances? I say that the distance from Buakaow to his place is shorter.

I'm one of the older guys and I have no trouble walking 4 to 5 minutes to catch the baht bus. Especially when you consider that I live in a one year old, 1 bedroom apartment that cost me 400 baht a day including utilities and within a short walk to Carrefour. :bigsmile:
