Which would you go for? I've been in PBR and it was nice, but the prices went up. Not to mention that a seaview would also be nice.

Ideas? (staying 2 weeks in feb if it matters)

I prefer the location for the PBR over the Summer Spring. I have not looked at the rooms at the Summer Spring, but the PBR rooms are very acceptable to me. :moon

:D

I've just booked into the Summer Spring for the first few nights of my stay next month-don't mind the location as I normally stay in Soi 2, and the rooms and rooftop swimming pool look really nice.

I think PBR rates at the moment are too high, might look to stay there low season as the rates are much better then.

Only thing is hotel wants my credit card number to guarantee the booking, I don't normally book that way, but they don't want my security number on the back so should be safe enough.

FWI, Summer Spring has same ownership as Sandy Spring, which has a solid rep., I would not worry about the CC issue.

Be careful walking in not to get hit on the head by Korean tourists jumping off the balcony though :allright

It depends on where you like to hang out really. I'm a fan of PBR and I like that it's just off of Soi Buakhao. It's also faster to get to Walking Street. That said, if you spend more time on Soi 6 and the beer bars in North Pattaya then Summer Spring seems like a better choice. Personally, I like the the location of PBR exponentially better.

I just found out that the summer spring can be booked via www.scandibar.com without the need of using a credit card. Hope this helps.

wet willie, last time i stayed at pbr i took 2 girls back a couple of times and they smiled and took the id's and didn't enforce the extra girl joiner fee, this was about 15 months ago though.

I'm staying at pbr from monday night onwards and i'll let you know if they are enforcing it or not.

Worth noting that Summer Spring now has promotion, stay 7 nights, 8th night free.

Because of that, I've now extended my stay to 7 nights to take advantage, does bring the price down to a perfectly reasonable rate for the quality of the hotel.

What with the pound strenghthening up as well, now loooking forward even more to getting there in a couple of weeks.
