Visited today... a few pretty girls and a few fatties hunting for the farangs ( or for the drinks ) ... that's good... the bad: 3 farang visitors, the barfine is still 1500... The change from 1000 baht come back like I gave 500 baht ( the well known old trick ) At least they admitted the " mistake " and returned with the right amount of the money... ( no draught beer, Tiger is 120, lady drink is 120 ) No problem, agreed with the mamasan and the girl we liked each other to meet on the next day, when the barfine will be back to the normal..

 

 

However.. Fucking fraudulent mamasan deluxe.. The girl I met yesterday and the chemical worked.... so she awaited me tonite with the promised ( by the mamasan ) 600 barfine and avoided the other customers.. We had several drinks together ( including the numerous lady drinks ) When I mentioned about the barfine she told me straight: You like too much this girl, so you must pay still the 1500 baht barfine... not for the bill but for me.. Of course I denied the cheat, the girl almost cried... This fuckin bitch and the belgian owner lost one of their best girl, we agreed after her next payday I will introduce her for an other bar, where no such bastards abusing the customers and the girls... ( and until that time I will fuck her for barfine free in her free time... despite I'm not a big fan of the daytime fucks... but I will do it for her to compensate her bad luck with the sad sad loser con men runs this bar... )

Hey Thai Learner, don't let that sort of sarcasm worry you. There are some pretty aggresive and unsympathetic people active on this board, who, at every opportunity seem determined to let all and sundry know that they don't suffer fools gladly.

 

Some, even, at the slightest excuse, will take pleasure in pouncing on innocent or blameless remarks others had made, where a more gracious, unsullied response would be far more desireable.

Then you have special barfines on special days and restrictions on who and when girls can leave and how long they can be away. And finally the rules changed based on the number of customers in the bar.

It's just gotten to be too much. People want to go into a place and if they see someone they want to be able to take her away without feeling they were raped by the bar. If the bar doesn't want repeat business (i.e wants to be a clip joint) then it can do all the crazy stuff it wants. I think that bars would be better off making the customer want to return and want to tell his friends how great the place is.

I introduced 2 girls to the Secrets, but none of them started to work there... Also introduced a girl to the Lennie's and she worked there a while. Recently I don't mentioned where I want to introduce her if the time comes.. I visited the Secrets bar twice on my recent trip, but not barfined a girl. However as I mentioned in an other board I had no problem with the 1000 baht barfine as it is valid only until mindight, if I wished to BF a coyotee not a big deal to wait for this time ( there may be different issues ) there are much bigger frauds around the city... Also must to mention the 400 baht barfine for the hostesses, which one is more, than acceptable, as we know the barfines determined from the venue you barfine the girls and not by the quality of the product. I post on the Secrets board because IMO still the best and busiest board despite the existent issues... A board is good or bad because of the members, the traffic and the available infos... at least for me. Anyway.. I post everywhere where/when I feel I have something to add... true my mood is not the same garrulous like it was in the heydays... maybe became older... maybe other reasons...

I think the problem lies first and foremost with the mamasan who made the decision to go back on the promise from the day before of a lower bar fine (the manager would probably back the decision as well).

 

I know this mamasan - a fat, horrible woman with make up which combined with a spiteful smile makes her look like the character the Joker from the Batman film.

 

But the joke is on us! I have seen many reports on forums of people being ripped off here and I have had personal experience of one incident myself where my friends and I had our bar bill inflated by a few hundred baht - which they refused to correct.

 

The first time that I went in the place a year or so ago, and she bought over a girl, she asked me for a lady drink for herself to go with the drink for the girl. I agreed as I thought at the time it was good to get the mamasan on my side but this turned out to be a foolish move as the next few times that I went in there she would be trying to put a drink for herself on my bill.

 

How many more tales of woe do there need to be before people start avoiding this bar?

They aren't the only ones, I just came back with about 3 KG of 1 baht coins from a night out. Next time I am at a loose end I am going to go in my penny jar, count out 99 baht piles and sellotape them into rolls and pay a few bills with them. Edited January 9, 2009 by jacko

Last September I barfined a nice looking girl from there. She agreed WHILE her mamasan was standing there to stay with me all night. It was just past mid-night So we start heading back to the hotel I was staying at which was The Royal Twins Palace. ON the way there she mentioned she wanted to leave around 5am to go back to her place and "take care of something". I was kinda dissapointed but... oh well. I said "OK no problem". So after we spent some "quality time" together we each took showers and she layed down next to me for a couple minutes and then said, "I need to go home now OK?" I was like what the hell? How does an agreed LT become a ST?? So I said, "OK fine" and gave her 500 baht. She said, "huh? no 2000?" I looked at her and said, "hell no, you think I am crazy? ". She got dressed and left the room without shutting the door.

 

2000 for about 20 minutes???? HAHAHAHA what was she thinking??

 

This was my 9th time in LOS.

 

1. This was the first time a girl wanted to leave early (or at all).

2. This was the first time any girl complained about what I gave them.
