Just spent 2 weeks at Tropical Berts 2nd rd end

of soi 6/1.

Great value for money with very friendly staff.

They have recently added in room safes

which is a bonus.

Smack on the baht bus route also.

ive stayed there before as well....

not many roooms there usually full...

had a nice big room on top floor....

great food and staff....

no wifi in top room but worked fine downstairs....

only drawback for me...was...

the hassle of the katoeys on soi 6/1....

its the back of soi 6 and they are very aggressive....

pain in the ass...."not literally'.....

i found if you want to walk to beach road hassle free...

go left onto second road past soi 6 and take your first left all the way to the beach...past the Russian restaurant....

i would defo stay at berts again in the future....

Is the entrance to the restaurant and the rooms one and the same? If not where is the entrance to the hotel rooms in relationship to the restaurant?

Thanks.

Entrance to rooms from the restaurant/bar. Never stayed there, but have eaten there many times with my TGF and the food was always very good and reasonably priced.

The rooms on the 1st couple of floors has it own entrance so

no need to go through the bar/restaurant .

Ladyboys on soi 6/1 are easily avoided by walking down soi 6

which is pretty dead before 12 noon and is very entertaining walk after this time.

Thanks for your comments all, must get on this site more as I added the In Room Safes due to comments on here about our lack of them. I agree also about about the Ladyboys lurking on Soi 6/1, another way to avoid them is to come in oppisite Bangkok Bank on 2nd road, you can drive in and park up. Plenty of spaces and free if you have a drink or meal here, we are also the home of The Royal British Legion in Thailand and meet every Sunday Lunch from 2pm to swing the lamp all Ex services welcome.
