EVA AIR..£470 Return

Recommended Posts

Just booked...now it will be the longest three months of my life...!!!

Z

Presume that's LHR -BKK ! That's a good fare mate. Who was that through please? They are still showing around £650 for a return fare next Jan/Feb 2010...and yes I know that's a long look ahead, but I'm trying to get rid of some of my Pattaya blues.

The thing I like about both the EVA and Thai direct, is that both their overnight flights departing LHR at 2130 approx (arrive BKK 1530hrs) and the reciprocal return at 1310 from LOS are nice civilised timings ! :D

Thats a good deal for a direct flight :banghead

Checked it using your dates on www.travelsupermarket.com and with southall travel

its showing £473.90 and a 2% credit card surcharge (no charge for debit cards)

Ebookers.com is coming out cheapest on a lot of dates lately and on the above its

showing at £468.89 but i cannot find what the credit card surcharge is.

Emirates is coming out at £432.90 for a one stop trip.

  • 2 weeks later...

Expedia has EVA LHR-BKK-LHR at £456.70 inc taxes, out Oct, back Nov.

I was going to wait and book closer to the time, but I'm very tempted - I like the airline and the dates/times are OK for me.

Best case it goes down by maybe £50, worst case it goes up and I end up with a similar price on an inferior (to me) airline.

On the other hand, if BA or Thai came down to that price, I'd prefer them (times are better), but who knows if they will.

Opinions anyone?

A bird in the hand is worth two in a bush. Book now. I have lost count of the amount of times I have seen good offers and waited for them to get better and lost the original offer.

Go for it!

Id be very tempted to book that price! Sure they "may" come down in price, but Eva havent been that cheap for a while. Personally ,I much rather Eva to Thai (never flown B.A.) I know Thai and B.A./Qantas have 2 flights a day, but I much prefer Eva myself! I paid £530 for January, and was quite chuffed at that price! (I did book it months earlier cos of the oil prices going crazy last year though!).

Another thing I like about Eva, (no! not their pot noodles!) is their on-line check-in, meaning you can book a seat upstairs in economy (24 hours before departure), which is a little better than the downstairs economy! as you can have a bit more room upstairs! The 24 hour check-in means you can also change seats (subject to availability of course!) so you can book your seat downstairs "months in advance!" then 24 hours before departure time, try to get a seat upstairs in economy!

Of course!!!!! if you fly economy its all academic!! (though I still think Evas business (though they call it premimum laurel!) is better than Thais business class!

I booked my flight on Sunday, LHR yo BKK 24th June to 12th July.

I spoke to hoodaki, dial a flight, eva's own sight, wisemaster, checked travel supermarket, expedia and netflights.com

I paid £409.50 inc taxes with Netflights.com (upgrade to evergreen is about £930 so decided to save the £500 to help buy buffalo medicene)

They told me offer is on till 5th April.
