Club Misty's Vip Card Launch

Recommended Posts

Isn't this the third promotional thread that there has been for Musty's in less than 2 months:

1) Club Misty's "Fight The Credit Crunch Campaign!", Friday 13th March 2009

2) Club Misty's "Fight The Credit Crunch Campaign!", Details of additional Happy Hour and Reduced Barfines - Mar 20 2009

3) Club Misty's Vip Card Launch, Party: Wednesday 8th April 2009 - Apr 3 2009

In addition to one in October 2008..CLUB MISTY'S MADNESS! - Oct 5 2008

Despite this when I looked in last month - twice - and when anyone else has cared to look in, the place never seems to have more than 5 customers. Clearly the message is failing to get through to us about what a wonderful place Musty's must be to spend our baht.

Could it be that we have decided to take the "fight the credit crunch campaign" to bars that are far less demanding on our baht?

I honestly can't see what all the fuss is about. VIP card is there, take it or leave it.

If a guy is hung up over a beer in a bar being 25 baht more than one down the road, the answer therefore is not hard to work out. Get walking.

Why is it that one negative TR which mentions Mistys being quiet is being used as the yardstick to determine whether the place is any good or not?.

I've been in Superbaby when there have been less than 2 punters. Same goes for Happy . Going into a place twice in a month hardly constitutes an accurate piece of research. I could go to Old Trafford twice in one month and draw exactly the same conclusion.

If the price of a beer is going to dictate or stop me doing something or going somewhere I want to then there's no point in going to Patts in the first place.

As for the price of a bottle of beer, go in and ask, if then you can't afford it, leave.

Why should you ever need one in order to claim just a 10% discount on a drink?

er no, he would no doubt have gone to the cheaper places in the first place given that they offer pretty much the same in terms of what the ladies look like. That's why threads like these are useful - to provide information so that people can make more informed choices

Why is it that one negative TR which mentions Mistys being quiet is being used as the yardstick to determine whether the place is any good or not?.

There have been a few! Plus there have been many people who have mentioned that the place is very quiet, just in this thread alone (or did you speed read?)

I've been in Superbaby when there have been less than 2 punters. Same goes for Happy . Going into a place twice in a month hardly constitutes an accurate piece of research. I could go to Old Trafford twice in one month and draw exactly the same conclusion.

I have been in Superbaby and Happy many times and often they have been so packed I can hardly find a seat. You won't have the same problem at Mistys

If the price of a beer is going to dictate or stop me doing something or going somewhere I want to then there's no point in going to Patts in the first place.

If you are happy to buy drink after drink where each drink costs 25 baht more than a similar place then of course you are free to do so

As for the price of a bottle of beer, go in and ask, if then you can't afford it, leave.

Seems strange that a bar owner seems shy about telling us what the price of a bottle of beer is in his own bar during normal bar hours. After all we thought he started this thread in the first place in order to publicise his bar <grin

Not to labor the point, but once again we have a guy whose job does NOT involve wearing a hair net or a name tag that says "Hi my name is_________ How can I help you?"

And his verdict on Misty's is: IT'S GOOD! 2guns

Butch, I'm hoping to be back after Songkran -- are you in Patts now or back in Blighty? 2guns

The naysayers, once again, are restricted entirely to those who really can't afford to go there at all, but do so anyway. :ang2

Or guys like Arno who have probably never been there at all. 2guns

It's the age old fall back....if somebody criticises a bar then all you need to claim is that they haven't been there. I suppose Papillon, Cheshire Tom and others who have criticised the bar haven't been there either, eh? <huh

Also, why should I want to 'afford' Misty's. Why should I want to pay 40% more for a bottle of beer during the happy hour at Misty's than I could get elsewhere (65 baht at Catz for example compared to 90 baht at Misty's) 2guns

As Papillon asked many posts ago, what makes Misty's so special why we should pay a 40% premium on our beer to go there. The punters don't seem to think so...and that is probably why they have voted with their feet and not gone along there.

Are you saying therefore that a Singha in Misty's is 110 Baht? Thanks for the answer.

Just a shame it took over 100 posts to extract that simple piece of information.

Butch was speaking hypothetically. You have not yet earned an answer to your question, grasshopper.

Of course, any price is too high for that horse piss Singha, though I'd recommend it for washing your car.

Catz is a far smaller establishment with less overheads than those we encounter at Misty's.

So what?

You've got more seating so you can buy and sell more beers at a cheaper price than Catz......... Oh shit... I forgot, you need to have customers in your bar to do that

That must be music to PSP and Party's ears :clap1

Edit: Not to worry, VIP LDK will be back to do some 'Quantative Easing' when the Triads let him :clap1

My quantities could use some easing right now. :clap1

Fire up the short time rooms, Daddy's on his way! :clap1 :clap1 :ang2

And unlike Papillon members I won't name, I have money to spend!

Hi

LDK mate, I''ve just returned from not so sunny Manila and am now in the UK. BTW don't fly Cathay Pacific , they suck (not in a good way either).

I'm in Patts Early June mate and look forward to seeing you in Mistys. Still on the San Mig lights?.

Arno, yes, I am happy to pay more for a beer in Mistys because I like the place, and always have. Not wanting to harp on about how good it is, but many of my friends drink there so I guess it's the familiarity of the place and the way I'm treated as a customer that keeps me going back.

I like Catz as well, but a Happy hour doesn't have too much influence where I decide to drink, and overall I guess the price of a beer generally levels itself out during any trip and therfore doesn't affect my budget as much.

An expensive venue will not put me off going there, but neither will a cheap one, and I'm not well off or in a high flying job by any means (quite the contrary in fact) I prefer good, decent , honest professional service, which is all too rare in Pattaya these days, and I'm prepared to pay more for it.

I do concede that I didn't read every post in this thread, so yep, you got me there...

Cheers

Butch

  • 3 weeks later...

I really don't quite understand what the "cheap charlies" are going on about here. Mistys in it's 3 various guises from the 2 on Soi Pattayaland to the latest comfortable, large operation that Andy opened have always attracted a really good crowd of guys who all seem to get on and enjoy their mongering without complaining about the small change in their pockets. The new version of Mistys has a lot of uniques and the girls tend to be great fun and always up for a laugh. The very idea of bare naked ladies falling out of the sky sliding down shiny poles for some reason attracts me and the music always tends to be good and not too loud so that you can't carry on a conversation. Andy and Paul are great hosts and I fo one rarely take notice of how much I spend as long as I have a good time. If people don't like Mistys for whatever reason, then just say so and bugger off. The prolonged diatribes aimed at criticising for the sake of it are really getting boring and if you are not visiting Patts for a good time, then stay at home.

LDK, as you know, the regular visitors to Mistys over the years still come back again and again and the local crowd enjoys it too. Perhaps the "cheap charlies" should stick to Cambodia and keep their sour views to themselves.

Oh... the loud music and the fact that it wasn't music was why I haven't been back in for a while.

I guess 'always' means not the 5-6 times I have been there.....

That was the only problem I had within the place though, good show, attitude and service.

Well actually, no it hasn't  They might be good guys but obviously not enough of them! The Pattayaland location sucked (ok, Mistys was an Oasis in the Desert). Even after the expansion/make over!

So onwards to the present location..... the "Bermuda Triangle" for Agogos in the Walking Street area...........

Indeed Sir K, a lot of the members of this board are highly financially challenged, and can only afford to come to Thailand once a year, if that. Having no other life, they spend all their time accessing this and other monger sites from their mums' basements, and having no money, constantly complain about prices. The only bright side is that without the Interwebs these same lads would probably be out drinking cooking sherry and puking into bushes at four in the morning. So I guess in a way it's good they're here.

Misty's... What a deception...

A lady took me there a few weeks ago and I was not impressed at all by this place. It was between 11-12pm so I thought maybe best girls barfined already ?

A had another try yesterday more early. I arrived at about 9:10pm it was... empty, dead,... Looking on my bill I see that it was bill (customer) number 4 of the day ! When I left at about 9:45pm I think only 2 others customers had come in. Misty's realy is NOT a place where people go before 10pm (at least)

Misty's is very expensive ! Despite big advertisements of "Happy Hours Madness" outside, I had to pay 95 baht for a single small glass of soda water :banghead . Nearly twice the price in many aGoGo of WalkingStreet at this hour. Don't know the price after (Un)Happy Hours...

Girls : There were 5 ladies doing table-dancing, 4 on the main stage and 2x2 in night outfits trying to play together with no conviction... because no spectators/costumers. 4 or 5 ladies were siting near the stage waiting for their turn to dance. I would be ok to pay big price to see beautiful girls, but yesterday present Misty's girls were well below the average standard of Walking Street aGoGos. It looks like a lady can't dance here if she is not 60 kg and older enough... Not for fan of young or slim girls. :allright

No hassle here. One lady try her luck and come seat near me. Really not my kind of lady and I politely declined... to see that she had to dance at the next song change ! Do I look like a newbie ?

The only thing I like in Misty's is the building itself. Decoration, high roof, chrome, outside "full wall" light decoration,... It's a pity that the "content" of this aGoGo is not same the same quality as the decoration...

I think it will be a long time before I try Misty's again...
