3 month promotional package forPattaya.

Hi.

 

It was reported on Pattaya One news, the local govt is offering a 3 month promotional package in Pattaya to stimulate the tourist industry.

One of their proposals is to have some hotels(who will participate) offer room discounts for that 3 month period beginning in May.

 

My question: Is there a Thai tourist website or online travel agency that will list the hotels participating in this discount promotion when it begins in May.

 

Specifically how can the public get information about all the Pattaya hotels offering promotional discounts?

To early to tell if this will even go through plus were close to May 1 and the Thais are not known for working fast or smarter. You could email a few hotels your interested in staying and see what type of discounts their offering now.

As I read the article it is only that the Provisional Govt are PROPOSING this and I for one cannot imagine the greedy Thai Hotel owners falling in line as they would sooner see empty rooms than lose face by offering cheaper prices.

The previous promotion was set up on the TAT site within 2 weeks of the airports' fiasco. It was run in conjunction between THA and TAT. Many of the deals were only open to Thai residents.

You might try checking out Thai Visa forum - think I saw something on there about it but did not take too much notice as I am already booked.

The e-mail I got from Thai visa forum said details would be announced tomorrow.

 

So will look in about 10 days time.
