Fair enough, I presume they have public transport or saying that taxi must be cheap?

We've done bar crawls there, and on occasion, a few of the crawlers decide to catch a ride back with a baht bus. As I recall, they said they negotiated a 400b ride to Pattaya from Ban Chang. That's probably a good ball park number to start at, anyway.

I think you would get bored with an entire weekend there, maybe a good afternoon thru evening pub crawl

get onto any bus on Suk. Rd. that's headed South-East that says either Rayong or Juntaburi

tell them you want to get off in B'Chang, but NOT at Lotus, don't tell them the Lotus bit yet, but don't get off there unless you want to walk quite far

after Lotus B'chang you'll be going downhill, get off at the next 7-11

from that 7-11 you can see a stop light just ahead

the road to the North from that light is where The Strip is

if facing the traffic light from 7-11 that would be a turn to the left at the light, or the road that goes directly North from Suk. at that intersection

if you want to get a room there's a quick stop on the road directly back from 7-11, about 3 blocks back is the Chang Inn, 410b for a room

if you get there later on a weekend they will only have the older rooms available for 320b. The new rooms are much nicer

what bars are there?

in order from South to North

Camel - N. Englishman started, now run by a Candadian, if you cannot find your way to The Strip, ask any mototaxi or tuk-tuk to take you to Camel (Kah Mel)

Faces

Noot's (Belgian guy refurbed it last year), ask for Christian if its' after dark, or Song (HUGE tits)

JigSaw

McAllister's (redone last year & it cost them 2 million Baht) Scotsman family run

WhereHouse

Kiwi Bar (ask for Peter, or just spot the really big guy grinning like a Cheshire cat)

Rabbit Bar (ask for a hottie from Payao named Nim, great tits)

Rainbow Bar

Beaver Bar (tell the manager Larry that he sucks dogs dicks in HELL)

Ship in a Hole (run by wife of former Camel owner)

- next block

Sunshine bar - ask for Evan the Kiwi if it's a weekend

Good Luck - ask for Jane the owner or for Lek her top BG

Mama's (formerly known as Papa's) ask for the drunken owner, Thip

Nasa - ask for Nahm

Moonshine - a bunch of useless LD beggars, shite

Star Bar - ask for May, a hottie, but she has some sort of aversion to giving a BBBJ

a new one just opened (can't recall name)

Black Cat

Cupid Stunts - same owner as Star Bar

Candy Bar - try not to pay attention to how they talk about their customers

The Bar

Offshore - more a restaurant than a bar, but they do have a Sports bar in back

good hotel?

a decent hotel isn't far away, but IMHO it's just a waste of money & an inconvenience

traveling to/from the hotel is a pain in the ass & their breakfast sucks big time

Camel has rooms available for 600b, English brekkie included

are the birds nice?

not really

a lot of 5s or less, & an occasional 6 or 7

& these days they almost all expect a white note just for a ST

pickings are better & cheaper in Soi 6 IMHO

I thought I was going to BARF when I was in Cupid Stunts last time & some dude invited the BG to play Strip Billiards with him

she took her shirt off & her stretch marks were so horrible & she was so fat that there was a crease from navel down into her pants, YUCK !

one of the things that caused me to post the thread about Why do bar owners hire such FUGLY-ass BGs

another was finding a topographical map of LOS under one gal's shirt at a well-known establishment on the darkside

technically Bahn & Chang are two words, but together they make up the multi-syllable name of the town

& no, it's not Chahng as in Elephant, it's just Chang, different tone

I read some where that the Irish Rovers on Soi Lk do trips to ban Chang as well

they must really not like Chang beer then

Oh fer...

TECHNICALLY Thais usually write it as one word. But technically, Thais write it in Thai, too.

บ้านฉาง

But technically, we're writing transliterated English. Technically, in Thai, it's something like Chang Town, but that's technically, in a different language.
