Pattaya Beer Garden - New Video and blurb

Recommended Posts

Great. Really liked it. Had a Filet Mignon and it was lovely. The first time I think that a Pattaya place has understood "medium". Came with 3 veg and I took chips out of a choice with mash or baked potato. TG had pad krapow and said it was arroy. The sound was good and the rock DVDs good.

The drink temp was fine, but why the cool boxes instead of fridges? Running costs?

Nearly forgot. Some nice FLs.

Forgot to tell you Pete but your newish lady Bee is a treasure. Great in the looks department as well. I saw her one night off duty and she can be a stunner so look after her.

I am also enamored with Ae and yet again, a pleasant looker and impecable style and manners.

Pete wrote about this some time ago.

Apparently the expensive beer fridges he installed didn’t cut the pace in keeping the beer cold enough and he was regularly fielding complaints about the beer not being cold enough.

To solve the problem he reverted to the tried and proven method of ice and cold boxes and since then he’s had no more complaints about warm beer.

Just goes to show that sometimes the older methods are actually the best. As they say “Don’t try and fix it if it aint broke”. :banghead

Cheers. At first I thought they might have moved the bar area and didnt want to dig up the floor for cables, but they could have put the cables overhead. I was with a TG and couldnt stare at the other TGs, so my mind was wandering  The drink temp was great.

Dig up? It's a pier out over the sea isn't it? :allright

A cold-box works better, plenty of ice and some water and a few beers can be down to drinking temp in an hour. Takes all day in a fridge and that is if you can leave the door closed. Too many places struggle to serve a cold one.

I really did not want to do the cold boxes again as they are labor intensive but as mentioned above they do the job and for some reason Thai fridges do not.

We get a lot of Aussis in the bar and they often comment on how hard it is to get a cold beer in Pattaya and how much they appreciate that in the Beer Garden. If you have an Aussi compliment you on the temperature of the beer you know you have got it right.

Pete .... I visited your place twice in August and thoroughly enjoyed it both times. It is a most wonderful escape from some of the madness of Pattaya. The employees behind the bar were professional and most pleasant without being in your face, and the FLs were a treat to look at while chatting with the guys. You have the ideal set-up, and look forward to many revisits in December.

Cheers

Just wondering whether from talking to the freelancers that you have worked out where they used to hang out before they started coming to the PBG.

Was it Beach road, Walking street bars, etc?

Must have spent over twenty nights in PBG during my mid July till mid Sept holiday this year. Never had a bad feed or a beer that wasn't perfect. It's a cracker of a place.

Well done Pete. See you next year.
