Any thoughts on this place? I was there 3/4 years ago in a standard room and it was forgettable. I realise that there are balcony rooms overlooking the pool but I thought these a bit expensive. Any thoughts please as I have to say this is a great location and the pool, buffet and meals were passable.

From the outside it looks like a fucking dump and people I know who have stayed there second that. I thought it was more of a back packer haunt.

Lek is owned by the same boss as Apex? If so , Apex has pumped in some money to improve their 'shithole' so maybe Lek will improve soon.

Stay over the road at diana inn ,750 baht standard room,IOO % better than the lek,better service,better staff, better pool, better everything and the staff do not stand with there hand held out for a tip.

Diana Inn is a great hotel from friendly staff to good food to resonable price. Only problem is .......... no lift!

Stayed 4 nights at the Lek a little over a year ago. Villa is right, it is a shit-hole. Much better value in other spots around town. Breakfast is OK, for the price, otherwise, I would avoid the place!

I stayed there one night several months ago. I thought it was way overpriced for what it was. I went down the street and found a place nicer and with free internet for 500 Bht less. It was also with out a pool, but I don't use the pool anyway.
