I'm not a lawyer, but I think it's illegal to possess false identify documents in most countries, and the topic is not relevant to the mission of this board.

MM has every right to protect his forum from content that might represent an attempt to contravene the laws of Thailand. Just as he is unlikely to canvass opinions first if a member makes unfavourable reference to HM the King, for example.

Buddy, you have a lot of damn gall. MM owns the program that makes this forum work, he owns the computer that runs it, and pays for the bandwidth. He puts in countless hours as an administrator. He has every right to delete anything that he deems inappropriate. Membership in this forum is free, you paid nothing to be part owner, nor did other members. He is under no obligation to ask anyone about his decisions.

 

Point two. To ask a question like that in public is out right stupid, as would be any person that gave out that information in Public. Guaranteed, law enforcement would be investigating both parties.

A cancelled passport is worthless. Well, not really worthless because they can be purchased on ebay and the like.

 

Key West FL issued it's own "Conch Republic Passports" a few years back (pre 9/11). So have some other idiots who claim to own their own country. There is a rich nut off the coast of CT/NY who tried it, even printed his own currency from what I'm told. Since he still lives there so I'm willing to wager that he still pays taxes.

 

Passports issued to "fantasy" countries where also quit popular as novelties, again, pre 9/11... It used to be a game to get a REPUBLIC OF SAILFASTIA (or whatever) passport stamped at some obscure boarder crossing. I'll bet it was real funny when you ended up in the local jail for a couple of days while they sorted you out.

 

There seems to be a distinct difference between "fake" and "counterfeit". Fake being obviously a novelty. Counterfeit would the illegal type.

 

Anyway, somehow the fake (as in not counterfeit) ones don't seem to be illegal to collect, but I wouldn't carry one on my person in this day and age.

Since when are "party pictures" of any relevance to the current threat of terrorism. Anybody, and I mean anybody, who goes looking for a fake passport

for whatever reason needs to be challenged, and investigated.

If perchance they appear to be of non anglo saxon heritage by reason of name or appearance, or their behaviour gives rise to concern then I hope the BIB in whatever country they inhabit would give them a tug.
