Hi, been made redundant, coming to pattaya

Recommended Posts

Looking for some cheap accomadation for a month stay.

Have been made redundant by good old Jarvis and got a measly £6k payout, so thought, what the hell, everyone keeps going on about Pattay, plus i saw the trouble programme on Bravo, so i might as well get over there.

Will be coming in 3 weeks to stay for a month or so, any suggestions of value places to stay ?

Depends what you're looking for hotel wise, Flipper House on soi 7 is decent enough, and central to all the action.I'm in Patts in 5 weeks,

am gonna try out the penthouse suite at The Queen Vic, soi 6,fuck the expense

By the way, welcome to the board. Sorry to learn that you have lost your job. I am sure that you will forget all the troubles in the uK when you hit Patts running. Good luck for your holiday.

The best thing you can do is take the time to read the posts in this section .That will give you a starting point to ask about specific places otherwise you will get many and conflicting posts about places you cant afford ,or dont want to pay. There are far to many places all at differing prices to advise you, unless you get specific on costs, facilities, and areas wanted/not wanted .

Hi bat fink

I admire your altitude & spirit after that kick in the teeth from jarvis.

I was going to recommend Metro Apartments (good monthly rates esp low season) but they are very popular & at short notice unlikely to have vacancies

but anywhere in LK Metro area is good.

Study the hotel & accommodation section here for good advice.

Hope you take the plunge for your 1st trip to pattaya. (BTW you'll be back!)

Worry about your next job after a refreshing break in LOS.

cheers  :bow :D

You could also pick any hotel/gh for the first 2 nights and then have a look around for something that really suits you, because if you make a commitment, it's not always easy to revert on things.

Just like finding out there's a construction site next door when you're rudely awaken at 7 AM. 2guns

From a purely practical point of view, the sheer shock of the first few days is going to knock any plans for running around a city you don't know, looking for streets and buildings you are searching for, in order to find and then negotiate a rate for a few weeks or a month is unlikely to say the least.

The ease of getting to and from the hotel to the places you want to visit is probably far more important than shaving off a couple of pounds on the rental.

Pattaya Bay as quoted only changes the sheets and towels twice a week ! That is no good. A month there would come in around 14900+2000+300 so 17200 or so. Getting extra (meaning sufficient) towels and sheet changes could chuck that to near 20k a month.

I'd expect you could get a hotel downtown, such as Cherry Hotel, P72 and the like for about 12k per month all in.

So you are saying you change your sheets and towels at home every day? no wonder you keep pratting on about how much money you need to live there, most of it must be on laundry bills.

They don't make beds or clean either, except twice a week.

True, but they have no problems with changing towels daily, and if you run out of any toiletries you can take them off the maids cart, and, if you talk to the maid nicely and she's quiet she'll do a quick wizz round your room.

When I'm there I always swap 4 large and 2 small towels a day - they never mind.

My last month there - last July/August - set me back about 18500B - but I did have breakfast every day

What my changing my sheets has to do with the stated hotel's policy of only changing their sheets twice a week I do not know. And if you don't like my "pratting" then just hit the ignore button.

Laundry costs are a bit item for hotels and some places swap yesterday's bottom sheet to become today's top sheet or vice versa. What I mean is that the sheet does two days on your bed.

Most blokes are out shagging with different girls each day. Now I don't think you'd like to be 4th short time on the Soi 6 bed but what about being the 4th long time and maybe a dozen previous sex sessions and the sheets are still the same. Maybe 3 or 4 other girls have used the same towels before you get to them. How does that make you feel ? Fucking minging is how it would make me feel and I wouldn't use a place which did not change the laundry each day.

If you like to wallow in your own filth, then so be it, but I take it that the OP would rather have fresh sheets and towels in his hotel room each day.
