Have always wondered why people dislike Heathrow so much ?? Often read reports of BM'S going out of the way to avoid the place ?

Have always found it easy to navigate and never had a problem there ??

My one trip through from SFO through HR to Frankfurt was years ago but, we deplaned, had to go through customs, carry all of our bags to a tram, tram to a distant terminal, check our luggage in again..........

That turned me off to the airport.

Has that improved?

i am a little suprised that dubai airport is no where in the top twenty...

I am surprised SFO is number 20. I fly out of there. It is nothing special. I think Narita is good, Taipei is ok but small and Bangkok is very nice. Frankfurt is just ok. Amsterdam (Shipol) was pretty good.

yes ok, that may be the case(do skytrax base their reviews on the price of a pint..?) i think its a great looking airport.

i think the overall build is great and looks good.

Plenty of reasons for me, but I always need to transit there and perhaps therein lies the problem.

I have been stuck in planes awaiting 'steps' and had many other delays there too.

I fly with United and once I've cleared customs United has a recheck area nearby.

I'm sure jacko would have some comments with Changi's security check process.

I can believe that San Fransisco is on the list. It has got to be one of the most unfriendly airports I've ever flown into. Koh Samui isn't an international airport, but it is the nicest looking, friendliest I've ever flown into. Utapao has got to be one of the most efficient I've seen. It has no bells and whistles, but I walked in 10 minutes before boarding time because of my taxi being late. I made my flight easily. I made it through the lobby, to the ticket counter and checked in, my travel agent had screwed up my ticket, that was fixed, went threw security, got a cup of coffee, then on to a tram all in ten minutes. I was impressed.

They are fine, no stupid repetition.
